• Excellent day out from Cairns - but be selective among the competing operators

  This was a generally good day out. Ron, our driver / guide was very knowledgable about the rainforest. However, he was inclined to start talking before everyone caught up and could hear what he was saying. When challenged - and when suggested he might step back to the middle of the large group to do his talking - he just got defensive and said he had to lead the walk from the front - completely missing the point. In the end, those who did not speak English as their first language gave up and we were able to hear some of his words. On the day we went, the road to Mossman Gorge was closed by a fallen tree so we missed seeing it. We later learned from a couple of other groups - with other tour companies - that they returned to Mossman at the end of the trip - but again Ron was not prepared to consider this when we suggested it to him in. the morning. The included lunch stop was at a second rate cafe. The pre-ordered choices of wraps or rice bowls were around 95% rice with very little else. If we had not pre-ordered, the choices at the cafe were a little better but still not great. Bottom line is that the tour went to some great places and was well worth doing - but note there are several operators so read the reviews before you book.

• Tour met expectations, logistics did not

  Pickup and start was 30 minutes late and there was no communication. We had to call tour operator to confirm location and pickup. Halfway through day guide became ill. Not good when we are traveling and still have three weeks to go - don’t need the exposure. The tour generally met expectations. Suggest you sit in the front of the bus as the short wheelbase makes a rough ride.

  A great, small group tour. Saw everything thar was listed on the itinerary. Lunch was good (pork bowl) Tour guide - Cheryl- was fabulous, very knowledgeable. Great music on the bus too. Good price

  Great guide and lots of great activities and experiences. I was looking for a tour that took care of the driving and gave me plenty of time to explore the different locations and this tour was perfect for that.

  Trip was cancelled due to weather issues and potential risks, you can’t control the weather!! We were informed and offered something else, shame it wasn’t suitable

  Great tour, loved the rainforest walk. Just wish we had more time to swim at the Gorge, felt a bit rushed.

  If booking this trip in rainy season be aware that you might not be able to do all of the activities you have paid for in the trip disappointed that we did not get to mossman gorge and the ceremony. due to weather but also itinerary was changed. this was to avoid queues however we missed out because of weather conditions. the guide John was very good

  A very well coordinated tour of the Daintree rainforest, the river and some crocs, cape tribulation, mossman gorge, and lots of info given throughout.
