Basseterre
We will give you a complete tour of the Historic Capital City of Basseterre; we will also visit Timothy Hill which will give you a panoramic view of the South East Peninsula stretching out towards our sister island Nevis. The Peninsula is a narrow strip of land that divides two bodies of water; the Atlantic on the left side and the Caribbean on the right side, you have to see it to believe it. From the hill, you can also see the Frigate Bay Valley with beautiful homes jotting out of the hill, golf course stretching from the Atlantic Ocean to the Caribbean Sea and the coconut palms waving in the sun. Onwards to the beach where you can splash in the warm and crystal clear waters of the Caribbean. Activities at the beach include water sports such as snorkeling, water skiing, sailing and much more. For those who just want to sit back and relax, all the amenities are available at the beach: bathroom, change room, beach chairs, umbrellas, restaurant, Beach bars and much, much more. We visit beaches such as Friars Bay (Carambola Beach Club), Ship Wreck, or Cockleshell, depending on the situation at Friar's Bay which is our first choice. If the beach is overcrowded, we go to another beach in order to accommodate our guests.

4.00The tour of Basseterre was mildly interesting. Tour was a small group, which is good. The beach club we were taken to (Friars Bays/Frigate Bay) was excellent. The views to to beach and return was very interesting. The tour guide was very good.
Wonderful and Memorable Tour with the Spectacular Mr. Roosevelt!

4.00We had a fabulous time on this excursion with the wonderful, knowledgeable, kind, fun, helpful, patient, friendly, and hospitable guide Mr. Roosevelt! We had a great tour of the area around Bassaterre and a lovely time at the Carambola Beach Club beach. Mr. Roosevelt was SO knowledgeable about the history and current events of St. Kitts. He told us how US Sec of State Marco Rubio had been in St. Kitts the day before our stop there for a conference and drove us by the airport to see if we could see Mr. Rubio's plane if it was still there (unfortunately it was not). We got to see some of the medical schools and a great deal of development by the Chinese in the area. The Carambola Beach Club was lovely, but be aware that food and drinks are pricey there. You need to pay a $5/person admission fee which I believe is waived if you purchase an umbrella and/or beach chair rentals. The bathrooms were clean, which was appreciated. We had so much fun and learned so much on this wonderful and memorable trip with Mr. Roosevelt. If you are fortunate enough to have him as a guide, if you are from the USA, please be sure to thank him for his military service, as he is a US Army veteran.

4.00On our booking it said to meet at 8.30. No-one turned up until 8.45. She said it was 9.00 meet up, but not on our booking. We then waited until 9 20 for a no show !! So just the two of us in a taxi. A very nice driver Kamin ? Was informative, but it would have been nice to stop a couple of times to take photos. He took us to a Friars beach and a small bar where we could have our first rum punch. Delicious A great beach, sunloungers under palm trees. Pick us up promptly at arranged time. Good trip apart from communication.

3.00Driver Roosevelt tried to make the tour interesting but there wasn't an awful lot to see in and around Basseterre and though we knew the beach part of the tour was at our own cost, the Carambola Beach Club is very overpriced and the young couple sharing the cab with us were struggling for cash.

4.00Our tour guide was very nice. We went on Boxing Day so the town was a bit of a mess from their street parade. However, the beach resort area was beautiful and clean. Lovely swimming and lounging area.

1.00Title of the experience is very misleading.There is nothing that was done in Nevis but the picture showed Nevis at the top.

5.00A fantastic tour with Dan, who highlighted the main attractions, local knowledge, including plants and animals, within Basseterre. This was followed by a trip to Frigate Bay, where we were able to spend a few hours enjoying the beach and facilities.

4.00Was a very basic trip, not much to see. Was disappointed, guide was good but felt could have been shown more. Views we saw were good but felt like it was just a bus journey

5.00Roosevelt was very kind, knowledgeable, and on time. Learned a lot of history about St Kitts and Nevis...great way to discover the island!
It might be nice if the weather cooperates and you have the right driver.

2.00Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate. We got caught in a heavy downpour on the way to the car and got soaked. Our driver took us all the way across St. Kitts and then to the beach. The sand was still wet from the earlier rain, so we decided against going to the beach and shortened the tour by an hour. We still wanted to tip the driver and asked if she could change some dollars, which she agreed to. I gave her $20 and said, "10 for you and 10 for me." She took it as a joke. She then dragged things out so much that we finally got out, quite annoyed. A very negative experience.
