Nice trip! First you go to the archaeological site "Caracol". Here you get a lot of explanation and time to look around and take pictures. Then you go to Rio on Pools and we also did Big Rock Waterfall as the Rio Frio cave was not open for visitors. Our guide Jason let us decide a lot and gave us a lot of freedom (for example when and where we wanted to take our lunch, where and how long we wanted to swim etc). Very pleasant guide! Highly recommended.

This was our third Mayan ruin tour and I admit that I was worried that it would be one too many. However, I was happy to be wrong. The drive up to Caracol is winding and beautiful and we saw a couple of Toucans (which was exciting). Our guide, Edioni, was friendly and knowledgeable and made the history come alive. The lunch was delicious traditional Belizean food that we greatly enjoyed. The road to Rio Frio Caves was closed so he offered us the choice to hike back in (an hour each way) or to go swimming at the base of Big Rock Falls. Because I had researched the falls and learned that tourists really can’t get to the bottom (without local connections), we jumped at the chance. We did stop by to see Rio on Pool and it looks like a fun place to swim and hang out, but we didn’t actually get in (because of swimming at the waterfall). I would recommend this tour for anyone wishing to experience an incredible Mayan ruin while also getting to enjoy one of Belize’s natural wonders

Great tour! We had a small group, only 4 people in this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and professional. The maya walk pick up and drop off service was very convenient. The itinerary was very good, we got to see the cave, explore the Caracol ruins and cooled off on the way back under a small water fall😊 our guide was Izzy and he did an awesome job👍🏼 the packing list they send you was very helpful to prepare for the trip. Oh and lunch was very hearty, belizean stew chicken.

This was such a great experience. Learning the history and culture of the Mayans was topped off perfectly with a trip to the Rio Frio Cave and Pools. Jason was our guide and helped answer all of our questions along the way.
