Our local guides (Lokafyers) are passionate about their city and eager to share their knowledge and perspective. Since Lokafyers are not professional guides and tour occasionally, they provide an experience that’s authentic and personal, like a friend showing you around their city. By the end of the tour, you'll feel comfortable navigating the city and confident that you have all the information you need to make the most of your stay.

This was a fantastic way to see Cardiff. Tony was our guide and made it truly enjoyable. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure we all got something out of the tour. Our daughter loves art, so he showed her art installations and sculptures. Our son is a Dr Who fan so he made sure to get some great show related photo ops for us. Highly recommend.

This was an extraordinary day made so by an extraordinary man. Private tours are always a treat, and Tony was so kind, generous and full of excitement for his beautiful city of Cardiff. We seemed like friends within no time. When we wanted a coffee, Tony said "wait, I'll take you to the best one", and he certainly did. This was our first time to Wales and from his efforts to help us appreciate the Welsh language and to share perspectives gained from his former career as an educator, it was an amazing day. Without asking, he also spent the day shooting photos, and then shared these incredible collages I've linked here. Just an amazing experience, and as a veteran of many tours, we were overcome with his genuine spirit, kindness and knowledge.

I enjoy learning about history and the guide was knowledgeable aboutt he history of Cardiff all the way back to the Romans.

Gillian was such a joy! I never knew I could see/learn so much in only 2 hours. Her knowledge of the history and culture of Cardiff is awesome. She has the best smile and the heart of a teacher. She even checked in on me at the end of the day. I highly recommend touring with Gillian...you can't go wrong
History and Legend in Cardiff

Our guide Rob assisted us in selecting the sites we had time to see during our limited time in Cardiff. (we had a long list!) We walked all over and saw the Castle, St. Johns Church, the Market and so many other places. During our walk he regaled us with the vast history of Cardiff, telling us stories, both real and legendary! He really knows the history of Cardiff! If you book this tour and are lucky enough to get Rob, you won't be disappointed!
