Being in the middle of the jungle will give you the feeling of being part of nature.

This activity takes place in The Gandoca Manzanillo Wild Life refuge.

Ariel, our guide, was truly remarkable. He has seen an incredible number of animals during this time and accompanied us through the tour with a lot of enthusiasm and knowledge. We got flashlights and walked through Manzanillo Park for over two and a half hours. In addition to a sloth and a caiman, we could observe a kinkajou, raccoons, scorpions, various frogs and even four snakes. An unforgettable experience – absolutely recommended!

Walking through the Manzanillo rainforest at night was an unforgettable experience. Ariel was amazing and pointed out so many different animals - frogs, snakes, scorpions, tarantulas, crabs, lizards etc. I would have never seen any of them on my own. Walking at night is so peaceful compared to the daytime. A must-do if you are in the area, especially at Manzanillo (choose this over Cahuita, as Cahuita does not open for anyone at night and you can only walk along a road outside of the park)! I will definitely do this again the next time I’m in the area. Thank you Ariel!

We really enjoyed the Manzanillo night walk. Ariel, our guide, was great at spotting wildlife and we saw several animals (e.g. crabs, lizards, tarantulas, frogs, a sleeping bird, scorpions, insects, snakes and kinkajou). I’m sure we would have walked right past them without his eagle eyes, and he helped us to take nice photos through the spotting scope. We also got quick responses to our questions vis WhatsApp before the tour. Thanks again Ariel!

We were able to see a large variety of animals. Our guide was very knowledgeable. He was amazing to offer all 4 of us rubber boots to combat the muddy conditions. Much appreciated!
