From start to finish, it was the perfect blend of history, culture, and vibrant local flavor. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the city to life with stories about Cartagena’s colonial past, its Afro-Caribbean roots, and the significance of each landmark we visited. We explored the colorful streets of the Walled City, admired the stunning architecture, and learned so much about the fortresses that once protected Cartagena. The pace was comfortable, and we had plenty of time for photos, questions, and even a few recommendations for the best local eats. One of the highlights was getting an up-close look at daily life in Cartagena—street vendors, music in the plazas, and the warm smiles of the locals.
