We spent an absolutely beautiful day discovering Carthage, the Medina of Tunis and Sidi Bou Said. Between laughter, good humor and beautiful scenery, everything was perfect! Our guide Mo Dady was simply exceptional: from an incredible culture, polyglot, generous and open. He made every visit lively and exciting, and we even learned things about our own country from him! Many thanks also to our driver, very friendly and professional, who accompanied us all day with a smile. An experience I recommend 100%! — Stephanie (said Melanie)

I’m giving it a one star even though the Tour guide worked hard translating in 3 different languages. Unfortunately we didn’t visit Byrsa Hill! Not going there is like not going to Carthage! I came back to Tunisia because because of Carthage. I came here in 2009 and didn’t particularly enjoyed it. We were suppose to go to Carthage and Byrsa Hill first but when the guide said first stop was Sidi Bou Said I knew it was going to be a let down. I didn’t care much about the place as it only had the Cafe des Delices as attraction it didn’t have as much history as Carthage! And the Medina it’s just like any Medinas. I feel very let down and angry that my time got wasted. It’s a lot of money and time spent. But that Tekkie Tours care I suppose. I would say another 4 letter word that begins with F and ends with K. But we are forced to be polite in writing reviews!!! The more bad reviews you get the less bookings you are going to get because people don’t want to be let down. They sell you something make you pay in advance and you are then at their disposal. If you want to be let down and waste your time then book with this company. If you don’t then find someone else. Viator don’t make it easy to contact them and air your disappointment to them. They got a slice of the cake too so they don’t care either.

We booked through (Musement)Tui)- not again. The mini coach was via Tunisian Travel Service, it was very bumpy and warm-we were glad to transfer to a full size coach. Leaving Hammamet we arrived in Carthage. It was very warm at 30 degrees and there is virtually no shade (not the fault of the operator). There is not a great deal there, if you have been to Pompei, this is a big disappointment. Moving on to Sidi Bou Said, it is very crowded and steep. There are shopkeepers hassling you every where. Medina, the souks are really busy so no real time to stop anywhere. My partner fell over because of the uneven ground (Thanks to everyone who helped her). Our guide was very informative and gave us lots of useful information.

What can I say... The visit of the medina lasts 2 hours but between the moment to get off the bus, the explanations of the guide and the visit of the palace then the distillery there was only 1 hour to walk. Let's go to carthage: visit 2h: in reality we got off the bus only 30 minutes to visit the Antonin terms at the pace of races.. An explanation of the guide, a photo and hop already gone. The rest of the cartgage was done by bus. Finally, sidi boussaid: Planned visit to the site 2h: We stayed there 1h15.. Time to go up the street, make 2 or 3 pictures, a purchase and everyone on the bus.. That day we came across a guide who was more concerned about his watch than his customers If you can do these tours by yourself

HAMMAMET: together with La Goulette in Tunis, it is the most “Italian” city on the Tunisian coast, with 15,000 Italians living here, also driven by favourable tax conditions for pensioners. In the old Medina, well preserved both in the walls and inside, typical shops, nice bars and refreshments. Chaotic traffic .. better to use the taxi that never has high costs, even if refractory to the use of the meter. CARTHAGE: to see the Ruins of the Baths of Antonino, the most impressive remains of Roman urbanism in the capital of proconsulate of Africa (2nd century). It is said that in order to decide on a border with the Greek colony of Cyrene (now Libya), instead of waging war, the two cities agreed that each should send an expedition along the coast on the same day, the frontier would become the meeting point. Write this in 2025 (with wars everywhere.. Europe included..) makes me a bit of a species. Carthage's economic prosperity and the importance of shipping routes to its trade, however, led the city to arm itself with a powerful fleet, designed to deter pirates and commercial rivals. SIDI BOUSAID: Named after the Muslim saint Abu Said al-Baji, it is the "blue city" of Tunisia, a picturesque village located about 20 km northeast of Tunis with its characteristic white and blue architecture. It is a popular tourist attraction, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the Gulf of Tunis, offering beautiful panoramic views; beautiful walks in the narrow streets, to explore the local craft shops, taste Tunisian cuisine in a restaurant-cafe (including the "Café des Nattes") that has hosted numerous famous artists and writers) and admire the breathtaking views. All three (+ Nabeul) are worth the trip to Tunisia.

This tour was an incredibly distressing experience due to discrimination, inaccessibility, and poor treatment by both fellow passengers and the tour guide. As a Black couple, we were met with racism from the moment we stepped on the bus. Passengers ignored us, clutched their bags as we walked past, and made offensive remarks in French, assuming we wouldn’t understand. One woman explicitly questioned why Black people were even allowed on these tours. Beyond this, my wife, who has a prosthetic leg, struggled to keep up with the group due to mobility issues. Despite my repeated requests, the guide and group left us behind at the first stop in Sidi Bou Said, giving us no information on the meeting time or place once the free roaming part of this tour was done. We spent nearly an hour searching for the group, only to be met with anger and blame from the guide. When I tried to explain my wife’s disability, , he dismissed it, stating he “didn’t care” and was “in a hurry.” Back on the bus, more racist comments were made by passengers, and the guide publicly humiliated me, storming down the aisle to reprimand me aggressively. I was forced to stand up for myself, yet he refused to listen or de-escalate, causing another British passenger to step in. The experience was so degrading that we chose to leave the tour early and arrange our own transport back. This was the worst travel experience we have ever had. No one should have to endure racism, public humiliation, and disregard for disability needs on a paid-for tour. I am requesting a full refund and compensation for the emotional distress and additional transport costs.

Expensive excursion to spend the day shopping, spend the morning from one shop to another and have to wait until all the people are out, not cool 😔 already lunch meal shipped in 30 min, 13h finally can be an interesting visit, 20 min to Carthage then direction sidi Bousaid for 1 hour of free time, in other words 130 euros for this excursion is shameful and still in the afternoon stop date shop, visit not at all interesting. Visit with Viator.
