  Really good alternative to a guided tour and a nice way to get a bit of history while exploring Utrecht. I did have to rely on my map a bit as some of the early instructions at the beginning (“head towards the big tree”) could have been a little less ambiguous. Overall, though, I was very satisfied and would consider a self guided audio tour for other cities.

• Good. It would be better in Spanish.

  I had never done a city tour with an audio guide. At first it seems difficult to attach, but it becomes easy to follow the instructions. Too bad there isn't one in Spanish, I would have enjoyed it more.

  I especially enjoyed going down the steps to the canal level and learning about that area. The voice of the guide was clear and pleasant. Architectural highlights were interesting. The format, being able to pause and leave the trail then return, and the clarity of the map and instructions, were really good.

  Definitely not a tour to be done in winter. It says is self paced but is not true, if you are a fast walker you have to stand and wait for the audio guide to get there. App is not user friendly. You should be able to see where you are going in their map vs where you should be and not have to resort to google maps. Some interesting stories but totally missed the castles.

  Travelling solo today and this was a fantastic way to see the town! Great value for money and I got to see lots of bits that I would have missed if I had ventured out alone. It was a little tricky to backtrack if I missed something but otherwise the app was really easy to use. I especially liked that it warned you if you were headed the wrong way! Don’t miss the inside of the post office/library and cross the street to get a look at the magnificent water tower 😍

  I think if if you are a solo traveller it might work ok but as a couple we were having a hard time to co-ordinate and had glitches of the audio constantly, which is is very annoying in a busy City. Also I feel this tour missed several very important historical sites, like the the dome church and the tower. This tour has quite a few small artifacts of buildings and sites of the city but if you are first-timer visiting this town I feel this tour missed some big important sites, like the dome church and the power which should be mentioned and explained, but not.

  I took an unplanned trip to Utrecht, so knew nothing of the city or it’s history. This was a great way to get around. Take in some sights, and learn about Utrecht and the people who lived here. Once audio app was downloaded, it was easy to use. Instructions clear and map very helpful to see where you were going (although you didn’t need to look at it).   A few initial problems getting the audio tour set up but once sorted it was a perfect way of finding out the history of Utrecht. Will definitely use audio maps for any future visits. Real value for money.
