Descend Catalina Island's Descanso Canyon by zip line, dropping from 600 feet above sea level, including one run that is 1,100-lineal feet long. You will travel close to three-quarters of a mile over five consecutive zip lines. See the world at heights of 300 feet above the canyon floor and at speeds pushing 40 mph.

Height & Weight Requirements:
All zipline participants must be at least 55" tall and weigh between 80 lbs - 240lbs. NO Tandem Riding! All participants will be weighed and measured, fully clothed, during the check-in process before each tour. Those unable to meet all of the requirements will not be permitted to zip and will not be offered a refund or rescheduled.
Age Requirements:
Children under the age of 7 are too young to participate. Children between the ages of 7-9 meeting all requirements must be accompanied by a ziplining participant at least 18 years of age who will act as the child’s guardian for the entire length of the activity. Participants at least 10 years of age, weighing at least 80 lbs., and are at least 55" tall may ride without a guardian. Those unable to meet all of the requirements will not be permitted to zip and will not be offered a refund or rescheduled.
Footwear Requirements:
Securable, close-toed shoes are required. Athletic shoes are recommended. (We do offer a limited number of shoes to rent if proper footwear is unavailable otherwise.)
Other Requirements:
Long shorts or pants are suggested. Skirts, belly shirts and bathing suites will not be permitted. Please remove dangling earrings. Participants with long hair must secure hair back with a hair tie or similar accessory. We will not be held responsible for any lost or damaged belongings. Please store any and all unneeded items in lockers provided during check-in.
Appropriate Gear:
No participant on the tour is permitted to use any other gear (helmet, harness, trolley, etc.) beside that which is provided by the Zipline Staff at the outset of the tour.
Health Requirements:
All participants on tour are required to hike short distances, ascend and descend stairs, need to be of average mobility and strength, and in reasonably good health. We do not recommend participation with preexisting injuries, back, neck, or heart issues. Please consult your doctor if you are unsure whether this activity is suitable for you. If questions still remain, please speak to one of our representatives at (800) 626-1496 before booking your Zipline Tour. If upon arrival it is made clear to the Zipline staff that you are not of adequate mobility, strength, or health, for your safety we do reserve the right to refuse your participation on the tour. Because of the potential health and safety risk to the baby, pregnant guests will not be permitted to participate.
Refunds / Rescheduling:
All sales are final. We have a strict 48-hour rescheduling policy. No refunds or rescheduling will be permitted after 48 hrs. Late arrivals, no-shows, and those not meeting tour requirements during tour check-in will not be refunded or rescheduled. Please review all tour requirements and plan your day and travel arrangements accordingly.
Weather Cancellations:
We will not cancel tours due to cold or mildly rainy weather. Zipline management may cancel tours because of unsafe weather conditions such as heavy winds, heavy rains, and/or potential thunderstorms. If tours have been canceled by management because of unsafe weather conditions tickets will be refunded or rescheduled for a later time.
Release of Liability:
All participants are required to sign an acknowledgement of risk and release of liability waiver during the check-in process 20 minutes before a scheduled tour. Participants under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian sign for them at this time. Without parental consent and signature, minors will not be permitted on tour and will not be refunded or rescheduled.
Misbehavior / Vulgarity / Alcohol / Drugs:
Zipline staff is in no way obligated to begin or complete a tour for a participant or group that appears to be impaired, ignoring staff instructions, or that is found in any way to be endangering the safety of themselves, others or the course environment. Such participants and/or those found disturbing the peace of other guests with profanity, vulgarity or otherwise will be kindly evacuated from the course and not allowed to continue the tour. Refunds or rescheduling will not be offered in either of these situations. Smoking is not allowed while on the tour.

5.00We lucked out with THE BEST guides in MJ & Sienna. On the bus ride up to the mountain, they were a font of knowledge about the local flora and fauna and answered all of our questions. Once at the zipline, these strong and confident young women made my group of 5 women feel secure and safe. And they made the whole experience more fun. The zip lining itself was magnificent, and the crew made it even better.
Mary and Nicola are awesome guides!

5.00Celebrated our 40th anniversary Zip lining with guides, Mary and Nicola. These young ladies are super friendly, knowledgeable, fun and make you feel safe when zip-lining with them. For my first time, I was happy with these two professionals. They made it a wonderful experience for both me and my husband! Catalina Zip lining is top notch in safety.

5.00Zip Line Tour- ask for Camille & Lily!!! For the love of all things exciting—DO NOT MISS OUT ON THE ZIP LINE ADVENTURE!!! Day 2 of our Catalina vacation, my best friend & I booked the zip line adventure. I’m not gonna lie—it’s pretty dang scary. But it’s a whole different ballgame when you get the most awesome dynamic duo of Camille & Lily!!! First, you get strapped up in your gear. These two were so sweet—asking us questions, being absolutely adorable. Then comes the safety spiel (dos, don’ts, stay alive, etc.)… which is a lot to take in when you’re already nervous. But Camille & Lily are calming forces. Suddenly, I was ready for that bus ride up the hill. Camille went across first—holy shiz, PROFESSIONAL. Then it was my turn. Lily walked me through it, I took a deep breath, stepped off the platform, and… IT WAS FRIGGIN MAGICAL!!! My best friend followed. We were screaming, & absolutely living our best lives!!! Each line was new. Each line was amazing in its own way. I felt safe, exhilarated, & ridiculously lucky that the universe paired us with these two incredible humans. We laughed. We screamed. We shared stories. And we had THE BEST time ever!!!!!! Thank you, Camille & Lily, for loving what you do and for being amazing humans in this big, crazy world. You two are doing it right. Thanks for manifesting “luck,” because we totally scored with you for our incredible zip line adventure.

5.00Definitely one of the highlights of our 3-day trip to Catalina. Ending our trip with this tour was the cherry on top. Nicla and MJ were the best guides!! They were clear and energetic, which made the experience less daunting and very enjoyable. We also saw a red-tailed hawk at the very first platform --too cool!

5.00Abby and Matt were amazing guides! They made the first tutorial simple and fun, which really helped us feel comfortable. Matt carefully followed all 10 safety steps before each zipline, and Abby was always there at the end to catch us safely. She also gave great feedback on our form and made sure we remembered how to slow down correctly when reaching the platform.

5.00We had the most incredible zip line experience on Catalina Island, thanks to the amazing Hailey and Megan! These two guides brought the perfect balance of fun, professionalism, and enthusiasm to the adventure. From the start, they made sure everyone felt safe and confident, which was especially appreciated by those of us who were a little nervous. Their clear instructions and calming presence made a huge difference, and before we knew it, we were soaring through the canyons with big smiles on our faces. Hailey and Megan didn’t just keep us safe—they made the trip unforgettable. They were so engaging and brought so much energy to the group that we couldn’t help but have a blast. Plus, they introduced us to a zip line move called The Pam, which quickly became the highlight of the day. If you’re headed to Catalina, do yourself a favor and ask Hailey and Megan to show you how to pull it off! Thank you, Hailey and Megan, for an unforgettable day of adventure. You’re the best!

5.00This tour was a highlight of our island visit. Our guides Meghan and Ricky were fantastic - professional with safety while keeping everyone comfortable and engaged. The views of the island and ocean are amazing, as you soar over canyons. Would definitely recommend.

5.00Joseph and Elena were great. They gave us safety tips and made sure all our harness was secured. It was a nice experience will do it again on my next visit.
