You will be visiting 3 of the remarkable caves here on the Island together with a Native or Local tour guide. We will pick you up at the ship's port or your hotel or apartment. Transportation from and to your accommodation is covered.

The caves are located on the North side of the Island. One at the entrance of Santa Barbara and one just down the road at Hill Top; we will stop at the second Cave. This area is rich in caves.

The first Cave we will be visiting has a ladder you must climb to get into Cave. When you are in the Cave, there will be bats and many unique rocks.

When you are in the Cave, you will see a lot of types of limestones, as you can see in the pictures, and some of the rocks look like they have gliders on them because when you shine your light or flashlight on them, they start glowing.

If you like cliff jumping, we will be visiting a small and low cliff jumping after the cave tour. It is enjoyable!!!! :) The ridge is not high at all, and everyone can jump from it.

ATTENTION!!!!! The Cave Tour is a Physical Tour that Requires Good Mobility & Health. Guests must be able to Duck, Bend, Crouch, and Step-up with ease.

Bonaire Caves are in their natural state and do not have paved paths or safety barricades. Your guide will lead and assist you as needed, but please note you must be aware at all times. Caves are naturally hot, humid and the air in sections can be dense. People with breathing restrictions should not attempt this tour. One cave entrance has a ladder and another, a rock decent where your guide will assist if needed.

Age Requirement: 8+

The Guide has full discretion during the tour to alter the experience for his/her group based on physical ability or cave conditions. Your safety is our priority. Please have closed shoes and NOT flip flop.

We want you to feel at home and comfortable on our island and recommend you bring the following for this tour:

1.Sun Protection: Sunscreen, Sunglasses

2. Extra Water

3. Dress Comfortably for hot, humid conditions- Active-wear recommended

4. Camera (of course!)

5. Wear swimwear if you'd like to fully explore the wet cave

6. Closed-Toen shoes, Comfortable Shoes are Required

7. Hat (if you have one)

Before the Tour:

Hotel or apartment guests: For the meeting, please meet your guide at the reception, and if you are staying at an apartment; your driver will be at the address you provided on the booking. Your guide will arrive at your pick-up location 15 minutes before the start of your tour to pick you up. We will notify you if there are any changes.

Cruise Ship guests: Your guide will welcome you with your first name or last name on a sign in front of the cruise ship exit/enter gate where your ship is docked. As you walk away from your ship, you will be approaching a security checkpoint gate. When you exit the gate, walk straight forward, and look straight ahead. Your guide will be there 15 minutes before the start of your tour to collect you. Please Note: If your tour starts at 08:30, your guide will pick you up 15 minutes (08:15) before the start time of your tour.

Very IMPORTANT: If you don't see your guide with your name, please stay at the gate of your ship and do not walk away and look for your guide, let your guide look for you.

We GUARANTEE to have you BACK TO THE SHIP 1 hour before the ship departure time.

This is a small group guided tour of up to 7 people per vehicle. You will be in a shared van, car, or pick-up depending on the number of guests.

Our prices include a 6% government tax.

Our goal is for you to leave the Island happier than when you arrived.

Owner of the donkey shelter thinks it's scammers

Tour is not given by an employee or a partner of the shelter. The "tour-guide" only drives around, gives little or wrong information. Even though we paid in advance, he tried to make us pay the entrance once more. The owner of the shelter also told us that the entrance ticket we received by mail from shekhinah tours, is not a valid entrance ticket. Our tour guide still had to buy the entrance tickets. We thought part of the cost would benefit the donkey shelter. But unfortunately they don't get anything from the tour operator. Except for the entrance fee. Owner of the donkey shelter thinks it's scammers Just because of that fact, only 1 star.

Beyond all expectations. Visited three caves and an unforgettable experience richer. A combination of some effort, tension and relaxation. Effort to get into the caves, tension because we are going to see the bats. And relax while snorkeling in the last cave and experience how quiet it is there. The dripstone formations are beautiful and our guide Renny gave away a beautiful musical show. You can also see fossils including the brain coral. The bats showed themselves too. Just like the fish and the lobsters. Thank you Renny for your explanation, information during the trip about the tourist tree and your fun humor during the trip.

This was a wild yet amazing experience. Our guide, I believe his name was Mar. He was freaking hilarious and so knowledgeable! This has to be one of the coolest experiences ever!

A beautiful experience and adventure. Visited 3 caves of which one wet cave. No beautiful landscaped paths but real climbing and scrambling. Our guide Renny was very relaxed and funny.

Caves, Laughs & Legends – Arturo Made Our Trip! If you're in Bonaire and thinking about doing anything else before booking a cave tour with Arturo from Shekhinah Tours… stop. Just stop. Book the tour. Thank us later. We were a group of four and honestly, we thought we were just signing up for a cool cave adventure. What we got? A hilarious, mind-blowing, soul-recharging day that became the absolute highlight of our trip. Arturo is a walking encyclopedia with a great sense of humor and Jedi-level people skills. He read our group’s vibe like a pro – knew exactly when to crack a joke, when to drop some fascinating knowledge, and when to give us space to soak in the awe of the caves (or take totally unnecessary but very cool photos). He made us laugh until our faces hurt, while still keeping us safe, informed, and feeling like cave-exploring rockstars. Whether we were squeezing through ancient passageways or just marveling at nature’s weirdest creations, Arturo was the perfect mix of guide, storyteller, and honorary travel buddy. We came for the caves, but we’re staying fans because of Arturo. Don’t miss this tour – and definitely don’t miss him.

Our tour guide was Angie and she was amazing in showing us the donkeys, island history, the history of the salt flats. As well as showing us the slave huts as well.

Arturo was amazing! From the moment he picked us up at the cruise port, he made the experience unforgettable. Along the drive, he shared fascinating stories and insights about the history of Bonaire and pointed out notable landmarks, setting the tone for a fun and informative day. We explored three unique caves, each one offering its own adventure. Arturo made sure we had plenty of time at each spot and took incredible photos for us along the way. He was attentive to everyone’s safety, guiding us carefully into each cave and making sure we were comfortable. The highlight of the day was the final cave, where we had the chance to swim and snorkel in crystal-clear water—truly magical! Beyond just being a fantastic guide, Arturo was incredibly friendly, easy to talk to, and downright hilarious. His energy and humor made the tour even more enjoyable. I would 1000% recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Bonaire. It was a perfect mix of adventure, education, and fun. Don’t miss it!

We were blessed with Arturo and his team, Ali and Tom. We booked this tour as a group tour and lucked out as it was only us. Arturo picked us up from a spot two minutes from the cruise ship and helped us experience the hikes of three beautiful caves. Ali and Tom were assisting/in training that day which made it even easier to navigate, climb, and enjoy the wonderful scenery. As balance is not exactly my forte, Arturo was super-supportive and friendly and sometimes literally held my hand while he made the hikes both fun and safe. None of the hikes were too long (all below an hour including breaks and pauses). Arturo was also exceptional in offering to take the best pics during the hike. Apparently, there are over 300 caves in Bonaire, which we never knew. The last one ends at a cool pool where we had plenty of time to snorkel and explore the caves on our own. Though we were given flashlights (and you will DEFINITELY NEED them), it was thrilling to try the closest thing to a night snorkel. In the end, we were each awarded with a Bonaire gift to take home. We would rate this as a moderate physical activity. And you should definitely wear grippy shoes (sneakers or hiking shoes), not sandals. If we could rate this excursion more than 5 stars, we would as it was the best excursion we did on our 10-day cruise! Thanks so much, Arturo, Ali, and Tom!!!

We had a great time exploring two dry caves and one wet cave! Our guide Antuno was the most excited, funny and best person for an activity like this! We learnt a lot about caves and the history about them.

We had a great tour through the caves. Our local guide Arturo was super enthusiastic and chill and showed us beautiful places. A bit of climbing and scrambling and finally swimming in the cave! Really recommended.
