Celle is a blessed picturesque medieval town in Germany. The 400 timber-framed houses and a ducal palace dating back to the 13th century is the reason why it is so famous among the tourists. Towering over the town is the Celle castle, which combines Renaissance and Baroque elements and is home to a museum, a chapel, and a theater. It was used as the main residence of the dukes of Saxe-Wittenberg and Brunswick-Lüneburg. Not to forget is also the serene 18th-century French garden, designed as a baroque courtyard. As you stroll down from site to site you will be fascinated by the beauty of this charming city.
