You will prepare your own meal under the guidance of a mom. You will learn 5 different recipes of traditional Cretan meals. The ingrdients we going to use are all gather from our organic garden.Also you will hear stories about customs and culture.

First you are welcomed with a homemade refreshment or a greek coffee from the hostess and homemade cookies.Then you will be informed about the mediterranean-based menu. You will learn about the significance of the "thieves dinner" (kleftiko),the main dish you're going to prepare (lamb). Next, you’ll prepare stuffed vegetables and stuffed grape leaves (dolmades). Then we will learn how to make kalitsounia.We use our rolling pins to roll out the dough for that! Appetizers are prepared last but enjoyed first. Tzatziki, Ntakos, and Cretan salad. Time to eat! Enjoy all of the beautiful traditional Cretan dishes you’ve created with copious amounts of local wine. Be sure to leave room for dessert. Veernas cooking class was amazing. It was so cool to be welcomed into their home like we were family and learn the greek style of cooking. They were all so nice and taught us about their culture for hours. It was my wife and I'd favorite part of our honeymoon by far! The food was to die for and I would go back to that class every week if we could! Thank you so much guys!!!

My husband and I knew we wanted to take a cooking class on our honeymoon, and after reading reviews of Veerna’s we didn’t look anywhere else. Veerna and her family were kind and knowledgeable, their home is beautiful, and the food we made was amazing. I feel lucky to have experienced it.

We had SO much fun at Veerna’s cooking class - and the food was absolutely incredible (like one of our fav meals of the trip). Despite being the largest cooking class I’ve ever been in, Veerna and her family were super attentive to everyone there. She’s so knowledgeable and absolutely hilarious - just positive energy all around.

This class was amazing. We have done several previous. This was the best yet. The attention to detail was exquisite. The food melted in our mouths The company was wonderful. This was one of the highlights of our trip. So well worth it!

My family and I stayed a week in Chania and this was the BEST experience by far! Veerna and Kosta really make you feel part of the family, they are so warm and welcoming. It was so fun to prepare the Cretan traditional dishes with our new friends. What made this experience over the top was the beautiful venue that Veerna and Kosta have created. They have thought of everything. I have participated in cooking classes in Rome and in Kyoto, but this one is hands down the best experience! I rarely write reviews but this is a MUST DO if you are in Chania.

Very pleasant experience. The cottage of Veerna and Kostas is surrounded by olive plantations just 15 minutes from the center of Chania. Very warm welcome and after a little refreshment we started immediately. Arni Kleftiko, Gemista, Xoriatiki, Tzatziki and Tiropitakia... Everything was prepared and cooked and baked in the large wood oven. In the end, of course, everything was eaten. Highly recommended!

After spending a month in Chaniá, I decided to lear how to cook some of the food we’ve been enjoying. This class was perfect, from the food preparation, to the timing of each course. The location is rural, but convenient to town. Virna and the boys were all very hospitable and friendly. The food turned out excellent and I hope to try to replicate it at home, knowing the ingredients, like the cheese, are likely to be difficult to find. I would do this class again in a heartbeat.

Great experience. Hands on class. Informative about Cretan cuisine. As a trained chef this was important to me. The size of the class (27) was a bit worrying but everyone was given veerna’s time and instruction.
