• Scenic day on the water with freshly cooked seafood

  Communication I reached out via Facebook to get more information about the different trips and quickly received information about the options available. Communication was swift, professional and not pushy. After a few days we decided to go ahead with the Net Fishing trip and was sent a booking link. The online booking procedure was smooth and was followed up by WhatsApp confirmation. The Trip We spent a relaxing few hours at sea with Captain Manolis and his wife Iota who were very kind and accommodating with our 4y old son. He particularly enjoyed "helping" with the net fishing ("checking" the catch, asking lots of questions about the fish, and throwing back the smallest ones). The food was delicious - cake and spinach pie prepared by Captain Manolis' mother, freshly caught red mullet, cod, red snapper, prawns and crab, with Greek salad, Cretan bread and fresh fruits. We anchored up at Marathi Bay to enjoy our lunch at sea. There was also time for a little bit of rod fishing (mostly unsuccessful but enjoyable nonetheless) and a dip in the sea. The day unfolded at a gentle relaxed pace so we were able to appreciate the scenery - infact we returned to Marathi beach a few days later to spend the whole day there as we'd admiring it from the boat!

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

• Fishing trip with friends.

  We had a wonderful time with Manos and Yeti. They were great hosts on our fishing trip. The friendly manner of our guides made us feel comfortable and relaxed. The fishing demonstration was most interesting and brought in lots of fish. Our afternoon lunch of fried fish and salad was absolutely delicious. The desert was super. The beautiful water and location added to the great day on the water. The boat was comfortable and roomy also. All in all it was a most enjoyable day with nice people who made you feel like friends. Highly recommend this excursion if you want a truly pleasant day on the beautiful waters around Crete. Sue and Jesse Smith

• Traditional Greek Fishing Experience

  What an incredible time my husband and I had on this fishing trip!! My husband loves to fish so he was really intrigued when I booked this tour. It was fabulous!!! From the moment we got on the boat, Manos the owner of the boat and his partner Yota made us feel so comfortable. There were homemade breakfast cakes and coffee. When we got to a certain place Manos mechanically pulled up the nets and we actually saw his catch. After the fish were cleaned which we watched Manos took us to another place where we could get off the boat for a swim while the fish was being prepared. What a fabulous lunch Manos and Yota fixed for us! They had fried several kinds of fish, prepared a beautiful Greek salad and we also fresh bread and homemade spinach pies that Yota had made. Manos and Yota were wonderful company. Easy to talk and be with. We felt like we were with family all day. Their warm and friendly personalities is what made this authentic Greek fishing trip amazing. It is such a unique experience and you really felt part of the Cretan culture. This is a must do to experience a true traditional fishing trip in Crete with great food and great friends that make you feel like family. This is a must do that won’t disappoint.

  We had a wonderful day on the boat of Manolis. We got great insights into the work of the local fisherman. The freshly caught fish was then prepared on board. An extraordinary experience. Hospitality is particularly noteworthy. We are happy if we can repeat this experience.

  Great day out fishing and swimming. We had an excellent meal cooked onboard with freshly caught fish. Nothing was too much trouble for the crew.

  I had the best time learning about types of fish, how to clean, cut, and cook them! Is definitely worth the experience and offers a new skill set you can take with you and have forever. They even packed some fish to-go. Highly recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys fishing, cooking, and/or the beautiful waters of Crete.

  Loved learning about net fishing (knowledgeable guides), all the food cooked and provided was delicious (breakfast, sodas, coffee, fish that we caught, Cretan salad), brought to a private cove to swim (if u bring ur own snorkels later in the day a couple snorkel boats pulled up so it should be a good location to) where we swam and lounged for a couple hours as they prepped the meal then after eating. Super chill nice time and definitely worth the money spent especially relatively

  An amazing experience in Suda Bay. A really exciting way to discover some fishing secrets. Manolis is not only an excellent fisherman, but also a great host. I highly recommend it.

  We had amazing fishing trip with my 14y son. Hosts were so nice and do their job with big heart. We got to see how locals fish and saw and tasted local fishes. It was really easy to feel comfortable on a trip. High recommendations from Finland.
