  Our tour guide was Yut, he was very friendly and informative. He gave us a lot of information about the temples. He gave us cold wet towels to cool us down after the temples visit. Really enjoyed this temple excursion with Yut, I highly recommend.

  We had an excellent experience with Mr. Tong. He was very attentive at all times and brought many lessons about the temples visited. Plus, he has a lot of experience with photos. I recommend!

  We made the day-tour to Chiang Rai with Mr. Tong and was an incredible experience. He was extremely kind and careful, taught us a lot about history and about Buddhism, which made our temple visiting experience even more special and memorable. That doesn't count on the many excellent photos he took of us. I definitely recommend!

  Yut was an excellent tour guide. He explained all the history around the temples and recommended amazing Thai food. The experience was really good. The length of the visit is long, but it’s because the temples are not close to Chiang Mai, and we understood that. Yut provided the admission fees for all the temples, the atmosphere was really good.   I went with my wife on our honeymoon to the temple tour near Chiang Rai. It was a highly recommended experience. Our guide Yut was always very attentive and kind.

  We took this excursion as part of our Thailand-Bali girls trip in May 2026. Our driver and guide was Yut who was absolutely amazing. Not only did he arrive timely and drive us safely to Chiang Rai and back, but he was super friendly, very knowledgeable about not only the temples we visited but Thailand in general and gave us a special education on Lana people history. In addition, he thought of everything for our rise from snacks, to water, cooled towels (it was crazy hot!!), and even brought toilet paper for the bathroom breaks along the way (which saved us!!!). He was so polite and respectful and just a very kind soul. He had total knowledge of each of our sites (Rainbow, White, Blue, and Big Bhudda temples) and was able to answer all of our questions. It was an amazing experience. Don’t hesitate to book and ask for Yut!!

• Stunning Temples w/Tong!

  This tour was fantastic. My guide Tong is basically my new favorite person. He not only checked all the tour guide essential boxes (prompt, knowledgeable, good driver, etc.) but was also really kind, fun, and funny. We had a blast and are now friends. As a testament to his kindness, I unfortunately got stung by a wasp near my eye when we were at one of the temples, and he went to find some ointment and applied it to the spot. He then kept checking on me the rest of the day. There are also a few other treats he sprinkled in throughout the tour, but I won’t spoil them in case you are lucky enough to have him as your guide! In terms of the sites, the temples are simply stunning. We visited four of them and while not as steeped in history as the temples of Chiang Rai, they are visually incredible. (Also, more bonus points for Tong and his great photography skills.) This tour is well worth the rather lengthy (and road construction-heavy) drive from Chiang Mai. The ride is also broken up pretty well as it’s only the way back that is 3-3.5 hours straight. Bottom line: best thing I did in Chiang Mai. Do it and spring for the private tour with Tong!

  Our guide M was perfect. We could not of asked for a better person to show us around Chiang Rai and to spend the day with. He made suggestions that were local and the best part of our trip. We would have missed out on these treasures if we didn’t have him as a guide. Highly recommend and hope to someday have another tour next time we are in Thailand.
