Chobe National Park
Enjoy an exhilarating Chobe River cruise. 730km in length, the Chobe River rises in Angola, and flows swiftly through Botswana, before reaching the Zambezi, to crash over the fault-line that is Victoria Falls. This particular section of the river is home to an abundance of wildlife, including massive herds of elephant, scattered pods of hippo, and numerous crocodile, whiling away the day, basking in the sunshine. Following a lazy morning on the river, guests are treated to a delectable lunch at one of Botswana’s hotels, found on the riverbank. Next up is an exhilarating game drive through the Chobe National Park, densely packed with an abundance of wildlife sightings. Covering an area of 11700km², the park is most famously known for an enormous elephant population of around 70 000. Needless to say, a Chobe National Park game drive is more often than not broken up by several elephant sightings. In addition, the park is home to a large population of lion – a rarity – all things considered. And that’s not all! The park also boasts game such as buffalo, zebra, Kudu, giraffe, sable, and impala – all of which can be spotted on a Chobe game drive from the comfort of an open-air safari vehicle.

5.00The trip from our hotel in Livingstone to a hope was an enjoyable one. The driver picked us up from our hotel in time and assisted us with each customs encounter which made the process stress free. Once at our last crossing is when we switched vehicles and our safari began. Our guide was nice, he asked us what animals did everyone want to see, gave us a safety briefing and we began our safari. You could tell that he wanted everyone to have a good experience. After our land safari, we took a break for lunch. The buffet was good, with plenty of options. This was a nice break before starting the river safari. We had some good sightings…3 of 5. We were happy with that as passing guides mentioned not having much luck. Priscilla was great communicating to us in advance and I would highly recommend.

5.00We really enjoyed our time with Priscilla and her team! Wonderful and smooth trip to Botswana with everything well organised. Priscilla brings this warmth of comfort that we have experienced throughout Zambia and made our trip memorable. The vehicle was clean, pickup on time and we were lucky to have just us on the trip. The Chobe river cruise was very exciting, we saw a lot of wild life, including elephants swimming across the river! The safari guide was excellent and through him we managed to spot a leopard up close. The only thing I would change would be the lunch, the food was good but the place was overcrowded with tourists - would much rather go with Priscilla to a smaller restaurant, less crowded. That said, every single tour seemed to stop there so going to a small place could be a nice addition to an already great day out!
Amazing Views of God's Creatures

5.00It was amazing to see so many of God's creatures both on the land and from the river boat. We had great views of deer-like animals, zebras, giraffes, baboons, hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, and especially elephants. The guides (especially on land) were very knowledgeable/friendly and Priscilla made the trip to and from Chobe a real pleasure.

5.00Excellent service with a smile. Priscilla arrived on time to collect us and was very patient and helpful as we experienced a few border issues. Game drive and river boat cruise were good but we unfortunately didn't see any cats. The guides were excellent and gave us information about the park and animals. Excellent customer service from the whole team. Highly recommend.

5.00Pick up was on time. We were taken to the boarder, then we made our way to the river where we had a 3 hour boat experience driven by Large. We saw lots of animals, excellent. After the river the buffet lunch was very yummy with a big selection. Then on our way to Chobe land safari with Nature our driver. He listened to what we wanted to see. And took us straight to the Lions and Leopard. Great drive. I’d recommend the day. Excellent

5.00The day trip to Chobe was well organized. From the early pick up at the hotel to change over at the border gates, tea and lunch, the service was excellent and efficient. Special mention to Chola who always received us with a smile. Throughout our stay Chola was friendly, warm and hospitable. In addition she arranged and accompanied us with our airport transfers, helicopter rides and trip to Vic falls on Zimbabwe side. We were a group of 10 and she was most accommodating and mindful of our needs. An amazing overall experience. I would highly recommend Chola and her team.

5.00The perfect safari experience - Kennedy was our ranger and he was superb. We saw big cats! And the most memorable was the water safari. Would highly recommend Vanaway for their professional service and going the extra mile for your pleasure.
