Choco-story Brussels
A master chocolate-maker will prepare pralines right in front of you. Tasting chocolate is of course a part of the tour and there is a shop for those of you who want more! As the visitor walks through the different exhibition rooms, he can learn the history of this precious commodity, from its origins to its transformation as a finished product. Samples of chocolate can be tasted during the visit and you can watch a demonstration given by our master chocolate-maker. Visitors are free to wander around the museum on their own or accompanied by a guide. Choco-Story Brussels was created in May 2014 when the two families Van Belle and Van Lierde united their efforts for the continual promotion of quality Belgian chocolate by opening their excellent educational, gourmet and great fun museum to the public.

Great time with children (4, 8, 12yo) With each one I audio guide, the little one had fun looking for the numbers to listen to the stories... and the 2 big ones appreciated the explanations. Only downside, many people the day we were there, the windows not accessible to see As a bonus an explanation and demonstration on the making of a praline with tasting. And small chocos in self-service during the visit! Thank youiii

It was a great walkthrough tour with a provided translation device. The chocolate tier maker was only 10 minutes with pre-made mold and fillings. He appeared irritated and said his English is not well. It is a good tour for history independently as a tourist.

Audio guide given but personally found it long winded. Would suit someone who likes lots of history. Lots of chocolate to try and the demonstration was also good.

The chocolate was good and the show so fun. Some of the staff where wearing some adorable pins to support palestine wihich I found absolutely adorable and it made me feel like good people still live among us. The staff members where so kind.

I visited quite a while ago and usually never write reviews, but while planning another visit I noticed a comment accusing one of the staff of “promoting terrorism”, something I just couldn’t stay silent about. When I visited, I was struck by how kind and genuine everyone was. I especially remember one woman who wore a small badge showing support for peace and dignity for Palestine. As a Palestinian, that small gesture meant a lot to me, it showed empathy, courage, and humanity. It’s sad that such compassion could ever be misinterpreted. The whole experience was warm, memorable, and the chocolates (and the demonstration at the end!) were absolutely wonderful.

My visit was on September 5th and I entered at the last time and did not give time to do the whole tour. The place is easy to find and has a beautiful facade. The tour is self-guided and what hurts is that in some situations the audio-guide numbers are distributed across the building, so sometimes we need to go back and forth a bit, leaving it slightly confused. The place is accessible for chairs and there were 2 doing the tour at the same time and they were able to move around the whole building, with the help of an employee. The tour ends up all done through stairs, which ends up tired, especially after taking the tour of the Belgian Beer World Experience. The 2 seats tickets were bought together, in one package, which ends up coming out with a better price. And chocolate is provided at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of the tour. At the end, a demonstration and explanation of the production of praliné is made. This chocolate is delicious, finishing the walk well.

Our Brussels trip ended on the sweetest note at Choco-Story. We had fun with the kids’ interactive games and listened to stories about chocolate’s long journey — from royal hot chocolate to praline-making. Tasting different percentages of chocolate was delicious. It's so impressive to see the chocolatier demonstrate the praline, and also we had a great end of the tour by having a tasty praline!

It's an okay experience for the price. However, the exhibitions seem half-hearted and need to be dusted off. Infolyd boards sometimes did not match what was shown. The staff at the entrance did not seem accommodating and they had to be called to become police officers.
