This is our favorite tour. Mixing amazing flavors with stunning natural environments. You will be stunned by the views at the Coffee farm and amazed by the taste of the local gourmet choclate products. This is a great light activity tour that requires a little walking and is very easily accessed throughout. Which makes it a favorite with our cruise ship clients.
In the farm we included coffe free and chocolate.

We will start the day with a visit to a secluded and tranquil coffee farm located right in the middle of the Pacoche Rainforest. The views, pure air and peace are worth the trip alone for me, but we have much more for you. The Ecuadorian Coffee bean, while not as famous as the Columbian variety, is known for its fruity undertones and is a booming business, as more and more coffee lovers discover them. We will take you through the cultivation, harvest and production with an interactive exhibition. We are fortunate enough to have one of only 2 beachfront drying beds in the world at this farm. This gives the coffee beans a delicious seaside flavor that can´t be replicated. After touring the scenic farm and seeing the bean process you can try out some great coffee. Take a moment to relax in the time-honored local hammocks and explore the fruit-filled garden. Odds are you will see hummingbirds as well as quite often you can hear or even see howler Monkeys.

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed this tour with Pedro. He is an excellent tour guide and made our day so memorable experiencing the very best of Manta. We especially appreciate visiting the small family run businesses that this tour features. The cacao and coffee were superb and the hosts made us feel at home. It was also great seeing Panama hats being made by true artists. This tour is a jammed packed day of adventure and a much better value and experience than the cruise ship offerings! Pedro was superb in all aspects and a wealth of information. He made sure we got back to the ship in time for sail away. Do not hesitate taking this tour. It is one of the very best we have taken in our global travels and is a great value.

5.00We could not have asked for a better tour while visiting Manta. Our tour guide Pedro spoke perfect English and provided a great narration throughout the tour, answering questions with great detail. The tour was well organized from the point of disembarkation from the ship to the scheduled time of return. Every point of interest visited, to include the Panama hat making shop, Chocolate Factory and Coffee Plantation was exceptional. Each site included demonstrations and tastings that exceeded expectations. If you find yourself with plans to visit Manta, you will not be disappointed when booking this excursion with Manta Tour Guides. Based on our experience with this tour, I would suspect that other tours booked with Manta Tour Guides would be equally enjoyable. Thanks Pedro and your assistant Robert.

4.00the tour was very good the guides pedro and roberto were excellent it was advertised and coffee and chocolate but it also included seeing the panama hat making that being said thd downside was that the transport vehicle had no microphone and it was difficukt to hear what was being said in the back of the bus the other detriment was the lunch stop at 3:30 it was too late and most people might have preferred going back to the ship at that point all in all if thise issues were addressed id highly recommend the tour

5.00An outstanding tour. Tony was a knowledgeable, affable, and attentive guide. I really appreciated that the three businesses we visited were each family-owned and very high quality: the small chocolate factory where we learned all about the process from harvested beans to delicious bars and ganache. Next to see how the Panama hats are made and the chance to buy high-quality hat designs of all sorts. Then to the top of the mountain to a rainforest coffee plantation with 40,000 trees and to hear how the beans are harvested, processed, and finally all the ways they can be prepared. Fascinating. Tony kept us on time, answered all kinds of questions, translated for the Spanish-speaking presenters, and helped us order our excellent lunch. A memorable and educational day. Thanks, Tony & Manta.

5.00Make sure you have waterproof shoes and a covered for protection from elements and mosquitoes. Had an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and professional. Ate fresh pineapples, coffee and Chocolate.

4.00We were not aware that we would have to buy our lunch. We expect to be able to use a credit card for personal expenses but the restaurant we went to did not accept them. Also, the food left A LOT to be desired. We’re adventurous in our culinary experiences, so the quality was very disappointing. Our guide and driver were excellent, but our culinary experience clouded our overall enjoyment. The write up of the tour should mention that lunch is on our own and provide an approximate US cash only spending amount.
