Chongqing is a city with unique topography and profound history. As the wartime capital during World War II, a famous river port city in China, the "Bridge Museum" of the world, and a rare large-scale mountainous metropolis, it possesses too many charms worth savoring in detail!
In my view, the true charm of this city lies in its warm and authentic local lifestyle, the layered stone stairways and pathways, the bold and spicy street food, and the unique blend of old and new architecture. I hope to take my guests on a Citywalk — deep into the city’s fabric, to truly experience local life as it is. Let's explore beyond the tourist map and wander like true locals.
During our trip, we’ll visit an old traditional teahouse to take a break, where we’ll do the hands-on traditional crafts. In this fast-paced and restless society, let’s weave moments of tranquility with our own hands and pay tribute to the wisdom of the ancients through this creative experience.

The Liberation Monument, located in the heart of Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, is a historic landmark and cultural symbol of Chongqing. Originally built in 1945 to commemorate victory in World War II, it stands as a testament to the city’s resilience and enduring spirit. Today, surrounded by modern skyscrapers and vibrant commercial energy, it represents both Chongqing’s past and its dynamic present—a must-visit site where history and urban life converge. Our tour will start with gathering here. During our stay, you will learn about the city's past and present over the past half-century. This is also a prime photo spot, and you will capture a vibrant urban landscape to add to your album.
After a 20 mins City Walk, we will be at our second stop, Kuixing Lou. As one of Chongqing's most iconic buildings widely celebrated on TikTok and social media, Kuixing Tower has become a must-visit for international travelers. It exemplarily reflects the architectural uniqueness of this mountainous city—you will see multiple buildings and hillsides connected by soaring skybridges, making it almost impossible to tell which floor you're actually on. Within the city's limited footprint, planners have maximized space for leisure, entertainment, and daily commuting. Whether it's the rooftop plaza or the elevators that serve as vital transport links between the upper and lower city levels, you will experience the multidimensional urban development and the human-centered design that prioritizes convenience for residents.

5.00Erik is an amazing fine person who does everything to make his guests feel special and seen while he manages to show off his city in an interesting and rewarding way. I travel with my 16-year-old daughter and we both thought this guided day trip was a perfect way to discover and experience the city. We got to see touristy places but also experience what everyday life for the residents can look like. We got to unwind at teahouses and really breathe in Chongqing and Chinese culture on a different level than many others can offer. Thank you so much Erik for the nice day with you.

5.00Erik was amazing. Spoke great English. Showed us so many places that we wouldn’t have ever seen on our own. He even made sure we got off to our next place safe key and showed us areas that weren’t on the tour. I highly recommend the tour.

5.00This day trip totally impresses me, didn’t expect to love it this much. It kinda reminded me of Chiang Mai and Kyoto? Like super detailed, very local, not touristy in a fake way. You actually see how people live there, not just the “attractions”. Our guide was such a legend – explained everything in a really easy, down-to-earth way. Learned heaps about local life, and even the city’s role during WWII, which I had no idea about before. We also got to try some traditional handicrafts, being like ancients Chinese people, capturing seasons by making flowers and leaves with silk and fine copper wires. 10/10 would recommend. No joke, one of the best things I’ve done here. I feel like if I came here by myself, it just wouldn’t have been the same at all.

5.00The tour was amazing, definitely the highlight of my whole trip. Meeting point is just located in the center,easy to find, Eric was on time and reliable! All streets are cool and full of local vibe. Stories he shared was attractive but not overloaded, great storyteller! I love the handcrafted work part! Such a window to see Chinese culture!
