4.00This was a classical music concert with a string quartet in the amazingly beautiful St Peter’s Church in Vienna, a short walk from St Stephen’s Cathedral. The concert was an hourlong, with no introductions or programme which felt odd and we were packed in like sardines some in pews and some on chairs. The music and setting was beautiful and much enjoyed but felt it was a little disorganised and with a few tweaks would be much better.

3.00The setting was exceptional but the quartet chose to play mostly unusual pieces I felt this was the wrong balance for a concert attended by mostly tourists and not music experts

5.00The musicians were top notch, very professional and extremely good. A string quartet played several different composers' music equally proficiently. Everyone was thrilled and clapped until they did an encore ! They made The encore fun by playing a comical version, yet serious music, of jingle bells. The only problem was that it was very cold in the church and there was a draft blowing across the front area where I sat that made us keep our coats on and shivering.

5.00I thought the quartet had a real sense of ensemble. I would particularly mention Martin Reining’s attack and Tristan Feichtner’s warm cello in the Borodin. And each member brought their individuality to the variations in the slow movement of Schubert’s Death and the Maiden - I would like to have heard the whole work.

5.00We absolutely loved the one hour concert at St Peter’s Church. The inside of the church is amazing! The acoustics were great and the string quartet were truly talented! It is a must do in Vienna.
