5.00Got cab at Amber Cove - driver was great= drove us briefly around the country side and then the city. Walked the street with us and allowed us to take our time. Very friendly- made for a great visit.

5.00Jose took my family to the 27 waterfalls and at a couple of places in the city. He promptly answered my messages, was on time, gave valuable advice. Van was comfy, he even had cold water and candies for kids. Way better than a bus tour! Recommend!

5.00Jose is bilingual and he took us out in his Toyota Sienna from Amber Cove- the Holland America (carnival) cruise port. We were a group of seven adults: Went to the city center (Puerto Plata) shopping, went to a beach bar on the malecon, drove by the fort (didn't stop in ) went to a chocolate factory and ended the trip with a visit to the Rum factory. Although they were all 'touristy' type stops, it all felt more like exploring-nowhere was crowded.
