We meet at the east entrance of the Stockholm City Museum (Stockholms Stadsmuseum). The @adding:tours team will send you an email message before the tour starts with detailed information on where to go and how to get there. The message will also include the telephone number to our offices should you have any problems finding the meeting point, your guide, or need assistance, we will be happy to help you!
Slussen
We start your tour at Slussen (literally: the lock). Slussen is an important part of the early and current development of Stockholm. We feel its importance has been underestimated. Your guide will give you a historical overview and significant developments of the area, point out notable structures and inform about the current state of play with project Slussen (2016-2025). All while you are making your way at a leisurely pace towards the Stockholm Old Town.

Our guide, Rachel, was extraordinarily knowledgeable, attentive, and spirited. She combined history, culture, and humor in a way that none of us noticed how time had gone by. It all appeared as a short walk, with the benefit of receiving valuable information about buildings, cities, and the ways of life today and in historic times. This walking tour was my first impression of the old town, and it was great value for the price. Rachel took good care of us all, and we all loved the bonus of a complimentary coffee in a lovely coffee shop at the end of our tour. If you would like to have a delightful and memorable visit to the old town, I highly recommend taking this tour. 5.00We had the most fantastic time touring the old city with Rachel. Not only was it highly informative but we also had some good laughs and it was really well paced. I highly recommend booking this tour if you are travelling to Stockholm. Rachel was completely delightful and really knows her stuff. Great value!

5.00This is my first time in Sweden and in three hours I received a huge amount of very interesting information about the country and the city. My Guide Rachel was very knowledgeable, the tour was very interesting and left an unforgettable impression.

He was very thorough in the commentary he provided on the many sites we visited, gave me the time to stop and take photos when and where I wanted and above all was very friendly. I have done quite a few tours over the past few weeks and this was easily one of the best in terms of value for money. Kenneth even told me that I could contact him if I needed anything after the tour, i thankfully did not have to resort to this but it definitely gave me some peace of mind knowing that I could have reached out to a friendly local should the need have arisen. This tour was a fantastic way to explore the fantastic city of Stockholm and Kenneth provided lots of insight into its people, history and culture, I have no hesitation in recommending it!

5.00We had a great day exploring Stockholm with Kenneth! It was the perfect overview on our first full day in the city. He gave us so much more knowledge and context for the rest of our 3-night stay. We ended up having a private tour since nobody else booked on this day (Saturday in March) - bonus! Kenneth's knowledge is impressive and he offered valuable insights on a variety of topics. We learned much about the city's layout and history along with Swedish culture, government, monarchy, and more. We greatly appreciated having genuine conversations and hearing Kenneth's local perspective. We stopped for a break in a lovely historic cafe for snacks and coffee. It was the perfect introduction to Stockholm on a beautiful day. Thank you, Kenneth!

5.00Went to Stockholm with my daughter and mom and so glad we did this small group tour with Kenneth. Great way to get the layout of the city and learn a lot of history at the same time. It was rainy and cold when we went but we powered through and enjoyed our time with Kenneth. Highly recommend the smaller group tour, rather than the larger groups we saw along the way. It was nice to have more one on one interaction to ask questions and hear all of the details Kenneth was providing to us. He gave us a great recommendation for dinner, food was fantastic and we’re going to another one of his recommendations tonight, can’t wait!!! THANK YOU KENNETH!!! Kelly, Abby & Linda

5.00Our tour was wonderful! The “small group” ended up just being me and my husband (likely due to the cold, wet weather). We walked all over Stockholm with our guide, Rachel. She was very knowledgeable and gave us an in-depth look at the history of city at every turn, building, and monument!

5.00I had an absolutely wonderful walking tour of Stockholm with Rachel. She was incredibly friendly and genuinely knowledgeable, tailoring the entire experience to my interests. We spent hours diving into art, history, and the rich cultural nuances of Sweden and Stockholm through the ages. Rachel's deep knowledge combined with her excellent humor kept me thoroughly engaged throughout. I left feeling inspired and genuinely excited to return to Stockholm ... hopefully to explore more with her again.
