Excellent Ama Waterways Excursion

5.00We were on the Ama Waterways cruise with a stop in Vienna, and considered booking our own concert experience because cruise excursions can be sub-par. But we were wrong! We ended up signing up for the Ama offering, which was to the House of Strauss. We are glad we did. We arrived in time to enjoy the museum, sip a glass of sparkling wine, then were treated to an entertaining concert. The musicians, and the soloist in particular, were all very talented. The venue was perfect and acoustics too. The performance was about the right length. We enjoyed the animation that was projected behind the musicians which provided some historical context for when the music was composed. The excursion was a little pricey, but all in our group were glad we chose this as it enhanced our appreciation for Vienna.

5.00One of the more expensive venues in Vienna, but worth it. The musicians were top notch, and were fully engaged with the music and the audience. A delightful evening of music! Just one criticism: the tickets through Trip Advisor said the concert began at 8:00. It did not begin until 8:30.
