The entire crew was great at accommodating all the people in the group, while also allowing us to each have great experiences and plenty of photo opportunities. Wonderful to see wildlife in a natural habitat, in a country where there’s literally nothing around to disturb the ecosystem there.

We had an excellent tour with Adrian, our very knowledgeable guide. Best experience we have had with wildlife in S Island, NZ. During our 4-hour experience, we saw a multitude of Fur Seals, Sealions basking on the beach and three yellow-eyed penguins, which was a rare treat. Even sighted a hump-back whale! With collection from and return to our hotel, a brilliant tour. Thanks to Adrian.

Ben, Quinn, and Rachel at Clearwater Wildlife Tours went above and beyond to provide an exceptional experience both viewing and understanding the incredible wildlife on the Otago Peninsula. We are so grateful they kindly enabled us to encounter the rare and impressive yellow eyed penguins, blue fairy penguins, and sea lions, as well as the playful fur seals, the soaring albatross, and a variety of other interesting birds. We appreciated those most spectacular views along with the comfort of the car, cloaks, and cookies;) We created such special New Zealand memories and deepened our conservation concerns, and cannot thank them, or recommend their tour team enough.

Yet another breathtaking NZ landscape experience at every turn. Informative, well paced, courteous guide. A word of caution: if you fear heights, don’t sit in the front seat. Honestly, parts of the drive were terrifying despite the calm and confidence of the guide driving. Loved it overall and highly recommended.

Our tour guide Tom was awesome. We learned so much about the region and the indigenous people. And then we saw some amazing birds. And oh the sea lions. So cool and up close too. Wonderful tour that we would recommend to everyone.

This activity is worth the time, drive, and money! Leaving from the port and driving “out to the farm” is an enjoyable drive with a very knowledgeable guide. The farm is over 300 acres of a working operation located on miles of untouched spectacular coastline. Unbelievably stunning! The walk involves some steps and inclines, no doubt, so make sure you are realistic with your abilities. Our descent from the bluff down to the beach was exciting as there was a colony of male sea lions basking in the sun. We were able to observe them up to the legal clearance while standing on a totally, again, pristine crescent beach. Paula was our guide and she was totally excited when she spotted an orca swimming along the coast while we were perched on the seal observation deck!! Oh I forgot to mention adorable seals playing on the rocks. Just a beautiful day in the wide open spaces of New Zealand. Bravo!!

Hard to describe the beauty of this sheep farm on the ocean. Beach with sea lions and a beach with seals. Our well informed and enthusiastic guide Paula took us right down to beaches for close viewing. Also saw beautiful black swans and a multitude of birds. There was a pod of orcas offshore also. Great experience can be challenging walk
