Discover our island’s culture & charm. Enjoy personal encounters with some of our colorful feathered inhabitants. Depart the cruise port or hotel near Philipsburg in an air-conditioned minivan. Listen to informative commentary from your driver as you traverse the village roads and green hillsides on route to the bird park. On arrival explore the garden habitat of exotic and colorful species of birds. Staff will disseminate information on the species of birds at the park. Wander leisurely amidst species such as black headed caique, brown throated conure, ring neck parakeet, sun conure and others. Feeding the birds is fascinating & unique, a truly up-close encounter. See plants and vegetation, some of which are medicinal & nutrition for the birds. On return, stop for ice cream, and an opportunity to sample or purchase a variety of Dutch Gouda cheese, one of the most popular cheeses worldwide. Then back to port or stay in town to shop, dine or swim and return to port at your leisure.

Fun experience but not a “natural setting “

Seeing and interacting with the birds was fun and entertaining. However, it is all in one enclosure. There was no “natural setting “ of local birds, which I mistakenly expected. Driver was friendly and helpful.

This was a fun little excursion. The colorful birds of Parrot Ville were definitely the highlight, and it was an experience unlike anything else I’ve done

This was a bit of road trip touring with an avian experience. The worst part of the whole thing was finding out where we were supposed to go to get the transportation. Turns out that "Colorful Species of Birds" was really a basic-level bus tour around St, Martiin/St. Marten with a bird experience as the highlight. The name of the tour provider and bird place was never provided. We had to ask uniformed person after person to find out where to start this tour: as far from the ship as possible in something called "EDC Parking" where someobody had our names. The value here was in the final stop at the bird place. A screened enclosure with a hundred or so parrots and similar which would actually be hand-fed ... by us. It was a lot of fun and the drive to the other side of the island worth the trouble and minimal cost!

Andre was terrific! He narrated sights along the way and told us about long history of St. Martin and people. The bird sanctuary was enjoyable. The aviary is a largish enclosure with many varieties of tropical birds. You can feed them and they will perch on your head or shoulders.

A great experience overall i took my 3 year old and they loved it the birds land on your head, shoulders and arm so be prepared for a few scratches and the overall size of the aviary wasnt as big as i thought but i would recommend it

We did this tour last visit. It was a fun experience so we did it again. Kids love it but it's suitable for adults, especially as an alternative to the usual sand and sea.

From pick up to drop off this experience was wonderful. Our driver, Lloyd, was well spoken about the history and culture of the island. He answered all of my questions. In addition to the birds, he stopped at a few beautiful places to take photos and even snuck in a sweet treat. I can’t say enough about how much fun and how many memories were made.

The experience is very interesting, a big thank you to our guide Tobby, who was very patient with us and the group despite the language barrier (he spoke only English, but really made the effort and it was very appreciative). However, if you book a slot, it is necessary to indicate a meeting point, even if you have a rental car, otherwise you will not be able to participate in the whole experience.

We had a wonderful time! Our tour guide Toby picked us up from our hotel and gave a us an unforgettable tour of the island! Parrot Ville was a special experience as well! My child really enjoyed himself with the birds, and he also love the playground on the property Toby took us to a secluded beach, which was just stunning
