Discover our island’s culture & charm. Enjoy personal encounters with some of our colorful feathered inhabitants. Depart the cruise port or hotel near Philipsburg in an air-conditioned minivan. Listen to informative commentary from your driver as you traverse the village roads and green hillsides on route to the bird park. On arrival explore the garden habitat of exotic and colorful species of birds. Staff will disseminate information on the species of birds at the park. Wander leisurely amidst species such as black headed caique, brown throated conure, ring neck parakeet, sun conure and others. Feeding the birds is fascinating & unique, a truly up-close encounter. See plants and vegetation, some of which are medicinal & nutrition for the birds. On return, stop for ice cream, and an opportunity to sample or purchase a variety of Dutch Gouda cheese, one of the most popular cheeses worldwide. Then back to port or stay in town to shop, dine or swim and return to port at your leisure.

A unique tour experience that we normally don’t get to do. The birds make it fun by flying all around you and eating from your hand along with flying and landing on you and experiencing birds in a different way! This was fun!

This exceeded my expectations. We received extremely detailed walking directions to the destination. Walking time from the port was about 5 minutes. Andre was our host. He was amazing. Very friendly and patient (our tour had 6 very young kids). He gave us some history while we drove. He made a stop at a overlook with celebrity houses, then a beach, then iguanas. We fed the iguanas for $1 each. It was adorable. They stuck leaves on the end of pvc poles. Then the birds. It was amazing. I personally guarantee at least 3 birds will land on you. They will eventually give you apples, and that's what the birds really want. I never take pictures. I probably took about 200.

This was a great tour! Bernard was so nice and took us around the island where we stopped at a beach for photos. We saw wildlife life along the way. Iguanas, a monkey, and also a wonderful bird sanctuary which was such a joy to visit! Our stop at the cheese shop was great! The sample was so good! Ice cream on the way back! It was great!

Birds were beautiful! And kids loved getting them to come eat from their cups. Driver was sweet and took us around to the French side.

If you love birds as I do, you will really like this experience. The birds are friendly, playful, colorful and fun to see and interact with.

The visit to the bird sanctuary was engaging and entertaining. We were able to feed and photograph the very colorful birds, who would land on us. Recommend wearing long sleeve shirt and hat. Our driver, Earl, was very informative and pleasant during our tour. The stop at the small cheese store/gift shop was disappointing. Only received one very tiny cube of cheese and were left to shop in the small store.

Bernard took good care of us. The birds were amazing and includes a bowl of feed for the birds. Good overview of the island. The in-laws are mobility challenges and managed fine. The worst part was walking to the tour. Once there no problem.

Picked up at our accommodations and had a tour of part of the French side as well as a bit of Philipsburg. The cheese shop was yummy! Our drivers were friendly and informative! Excellent. Loved spending time in with the bird. So colorful.
