Bunk'Art 1
We start our journey of the past at the Bunk’ Art Museum with a full – immersion of the Albanian history of the last 100 years. The ex – nuclear bunker, build to accommodate Communist Dictator Hoxha in the event of attack, tells us the story of the dictator’s time and the past two World Wars through photographs, items and documents.

After we step out of Bunk’ Art, we head for “qofte” ( meat balls), yogurt sauce, patato chips and local beer, Tirana’s typical street food!

5.00The tour gave an insight into life before, during and after Communism, also showed architecture from the different eras. The lunch was excellent, fresh and tasty also there was plenty! My guide, Edi, was very knowledgeable, friendly and spoke excellent English. I rate this as a good value tour well worth undertaking.

5.00Extremely informative, friendly and interesting guide, very thorough tour but we felt relaxed and free to ask as many questions as we liked. We never felt rushed. It is a great way to include Bunk'art 1 in a tour as it is out of town. It is better than Bunk'art 2 and our guide Ditmir gave us a lot of information we would not have had if we had gone alone. Good food as well! We very much enjoyed ourselves and think the tour is good value to see many of the main sites of Tirana in a thorough and efficient way. This meant we had more time to relax for the remainder of our stay. Thank you Ditmir!

5.00We had an amazing time with Ditmir as our guide. He was fascinating to listen to, had many personal, family stories to talk about as we walked around Tirana and discussed communism in Albania. He also personalized the tour for us so we were able to take the cable car up the mountain, and visit Bunk’Art. He adjusted the tour pace for things we were more interested in, answered a million questions openly and honestly. We had some traditional food, drinks, and coffee along the way as well. It was great the tour was all-inclusive as well, unlike many tour companies the we never had to pay for anything offered during the day. We also had a driver to get us to the cable car, and thankfully we did since driving in Tirana can be a nightmare. Highly recommend Ditmir and Good Albania.

5.00We did this trip and were amazed, so much to see and really enjoyed are time with the team that took us , Gary knows so much and was very interesting. 5.00Full day with transport, admission tickets, lunch, afternoon raki stop all included so good value. Our guide was a very nice chap who grew up in Communist times so it was interesting to get his persepctive on what it was like to live in those times. He was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend the day with. Tirana is a great city with a fascinating history. Having a personal tour guide is the best way to learn about it. Worth the investment.
