All around everything went perfectly: very good preparation for the trip, on site it was easily possible to get rubber boots (free) and our guide was stunning. He knew so much, he took you with him in his enthusiasm, he made great shots for us and we saw and experienced a lot. Humanly very attentive and good feeling for the group.

  • Extremely dangerous and deeply unprofessional. Please read before booking.

🚨⚠️We booked a two-day trek to Sirena Station in Corcovado National Park with Corcovado Wild Tours. What should have been a beautiful experience turned into a dangerous and exhausting ordeal because of the company’s complete lack of preparation, safety, and honesty. Before the tour, the agency sent us a PDF describing the itinerary, but nowhere did it mention the real difficulty of the trek. They never explained that the hike involves 20 km under extreme heat and humidity, alternating between dense jungle and long stretches of deep sand. They clearly don’t care whether clients are ready or not — their only goal seems to be selling as many tours as possible. During the trek, one participant collapsed around 4:30 PM after three panic attacks and multiple losses of consciousness. We were left stranded on a remote beach with no radio, no satellite phone, no first-aid gear, and no emergency protocol. We had no water left (2 liters per person was far from enough). At 7:30 PM, our guide — who did everything he could — had to leave us behind to find help, because there was no phone signal or way to contact anyone. We spent five hours — from 4:30 PM to 10:30 PM — completely isolated, in the dark, without water, without assistance, in an area known for jaguars and snakes. Rangers eventually arrived at 10:30 PM, confirming that the agency had no rescue system or communication plan at all. It was pure luck that no one died that night. The following day, instead of showing empathy, the owner filmed us without consent, spoke to us in a mocking and condescending tone, and offered a series of absurd and contradictory refund proposals: – first a full refund, – then nothing, – then 50%, – and finally USD 100 or USD 20 per month for three years. He even mentioned lawyers in an attempt to intimidate us. Out of the USD 730 we paid, he later admitted that his net profit margin was around 50 %, which is outrageous considering the total lack of safety and organization. You can easily find other agencies in Puerto Jiménez that offer similar experiences for far less — and with proper safety standards. This company shows zero professionalism, zero safety culture, and zero respect for clients. ⚠️ If you value your safety and your money, avoid Corcovado Wild Tours at all costs.
