From the meeting point we head to the bubbling Loulé Market!
Smell the smells and discover the local products (bread, cakes, jams, honey, nuts, liqueurs, fish and more). Next, we'll visit the cork capital of the Algarve: São Brás de Alportel, where it all began: the extraction and processing of cork that provided work for many families and its export generated wealth for the area.
The first Portuguese bank was born here in the Casa Museu do Traje, and from here there will be time for lunch (not included in the tour). We'll then visit the cork factory.

This tour is not off road, therefore, the vehicle used to take this tour will be a Mercedes with air conditioning for greater customer comfort.

The day starts with a visit to the village of Loulé where guests will visit the local charismatic market located near the historical center.. One of the most famous ones in Algarve.
Sao Bras de Alportel
In here we take a guided visit to this important cork factory (very essential to the local economy) Duration: 90 minutes.:

5.00The tour guides were wonderful. Carla and Paulo. They were very welcoming and accommodating. The cork farm experience was so very unique and educational. I am grateful for the mini side trips to the market etc.

5.00Carla our tour guide was very well versed in English. She provided us with a commentary during to, at, and after at each site. She is very knowledgeable about her tours and was always answering our question. She always translated I to English if a guide was struggling. We would highly recommend Carla as your guide.

5.00This was a fun excursion! Carla Silva was out tour guide, and she was knowledgeable and showed us around the town, museum and cork factory. It was neat learning about all the uses of cork and the long time you have to wait for harvesting cork. I even got to try trimming cork! Definitely recommend this excursion with Carla!

5.00A wonderful day with a friendly, patient and knowledgeable guide with an excellent sense of humour as a bonus! We were shown around the Loule market and surrounding area, a small colonial museum and the highlight for us, the cork factory- excellent hands-on review of the cork industry. Carla showed her passion for Portugal in her answers to all our questions! A fun time, and great to learn more as it was our first time in Portugal / Algarve. Truly a comfortable and worthwhile tour! 5.00The perfect tour to see and understand the charm, beauty and uniqueness of Portugal. It is a relaxing and very informative and you will gain insight into the Portuguese way of life. Our tour guide Carla shared many insights into Portugals past, present and future and we are leaving Portugal with a better appreciation for the people and this beautiful, diverse country. 5.00Had a great day . Informative personable Luís took us to Loule market, Portuguese sweets and coffee then off to the Cork factory tour. Very well presented , we will never see a cork in the same light. Great lunch at a local restaurant and a tour of the costume museum. Wonderful day! Good value! The newly retired!
