  upon arrival at LIR we found out Viator drivers waited outside the baggage claim door. One gentleman greeted us and arranged for an earlier pickup as we got through Immigration quickly. He showed us to the car when it arrived and introduced us to our driver Jeffrey. Jeffrey told us we could take a short cut over the mountain and shave a half hour off our trip so we accepted. Taking backroads over the mountains on narrow roads with an occasional flood out gave us a feel for the jungle in Costa Rica and a glimpse into local life as we traveled through small rural villages. Jeffrey could communicate in English but gave me an opportunity to practice my Spanish. We learned about his background and family, facts about Costa Rica, thoroughly enjoyed his company as well as his expert driving skills. We enjoyed getting a feel for rural life in Costa Rica en route to our beach resort. It was a wonderful experience. Jeffrey was A++

  Our private transfer was perfect- Jose met us just outside of the airport and it was easy to find our driver. His conversation made the ride into Tamarindo go by quickly and we hope to have him pick us up for the ride back to the airport!

  Made us wait over 30min. With kids, thats an eternity. No air delays so pretty unacceptable in my opinion.

  No one was at the airport as promised to pick us up, they called multiple times to get someone to come for us not what was promised or what we expected or have experience with Victor in the past.

  Due to weather, we were nearly 3 hours late and our driver was patiently waiting. I called Viator and they advised him of the delay and flight change. Very smooth process!

  Prepaid trip. Nobody there to pick us up. Found someone who called company. We were told they forgot and would not be able to pick up. Had to find another company

  Nightmare scenario. My daughter and I had no one waiting for us at LIR to take us to the W hotel. While many companies were there with signs for other travelers, we ended up needing to talk to what seemed like a random guy who got us a driver. He approached us and it was unclear what capacity he was acting in. The whole experience felt super sketchy. Thankfully, the driver he got for us was courteous and seemed trustworthy (I broke a few unwritten rules about traveling internationally here in terms of being smart and safe). Unfortunately, she brought us to the Westin and not the W. Thankfully the W is in the same compound and we were only 10 minutes away. Trip Advisor - You need to do better. If you’re going to help facilitate this kind of service, you need to step up and offer another option for problem solving when things go off the rails. I called the phone number we were provided multiple times and were told someone was on the way. The guy who helped us didn’t have our names and seemingly had no record of us even though I have an email and ticket. No good.
