City and Wine
Visit 2 or 3 artisan, family owned Hungarian winery at the country-side near Budapest. You will meet the winemakers and they will not only present their best wines, but you will be served with home made meal and/or traditional Hungarian flavored bites, depending the option you select. Taste 6-12 glasses wine in total and indulge the best tastes in a genuine Hungarian country-side environment. The Morning tour option offers you a quick journey to the countryside, with the tasting of 8 glasses of wine and completing your experience with a delicious home made Lunch. The Afternoon tour with Dinner option is a full-scale wine and meal experience in the countryside with 12 glasses of wine and a home-made Dinner. The Gastro-Bites with Wine tour offers a nice afternoon excursion to the Wine region where the focus is on showing the unique flavors of the Hungarian kitchen, with home made pate, sausage and many more, accompanied with 6 glassses of quality wine.

5.00After 2 days exploring the city It was lovely and rewarding trip to countryside just 40 min away from pick up point. We visited 3 wineries - “Charlie” place - “Charlie” place certainly No 1! tasted probably 10 different wines during the tour and we were impressed of quality and variety of local wines. Served with cozy nibbles and simple but very tasty family style dinner it made our group to feel old friends and of course the greatest credit for this marvellous experience goes to our guide!

5.00Relaxing and convivial evening at 3 local Etyek wineries 30 minutes outside of Budapest. Lovely cool climate wines. 2 new-to-me grape varieties. Tiny cellars & good meeting the winemakers in person. Beautiful wild boar stew with tarhonya and picked cabbage salad for our meal. Our groups of 8 from all over the world got on well. Highly recommended!

5.00Loved our wine tour experience with guide Michael! Pickup option is very convenient and travel is only 30-40 mins out of Budapest city centre (although longer on the way with traffic) Michael was a friendly and knowledgeable guide who made our experience great, as the winemakers didn’t speak any English it would have been awkward if the guide was poor. Best value if taken to 3 wineries, 2 I may have been a bit disappointed. I like that we were informed about how the wines were made without being pretentious, we were there as enjoyers not experts so this was great. They never try and force you to buy a bottle from any of the wineries but the option is there. The Hungarian dinner was delicious too.

3.00Way too much information.. on the bus going to the wine cellar . Lunch was excellent, you can buy the venison sausage, but take cash with you !!

5.00I loved this excursion! We attended 2 wineries. They both gave us tastings of their wines, which were much larger than the pours we are accustomed to Texas. The second winery fed us lunch. I would recommend this tour for wine lovers.
