  Josie was my guide for the coyoacan food tour from Sabores Mexico and she was amazing! I was the only one in this tour and felt completely relaxed and enjoyed Josie’s company. She explained all the different foods we tried really well and I truly learnt a lot about Mexican food and culture. I also loved the neighborhood of Coyoacan, such a contrast to the historical center. Highly recommend this tour if you’re in Mexico City and you leave feeling totally satisfied and stuffed. Thank you Josie!!

  We had a great time with Jimena our tour guide. She grew up in the area and took us to a number of places we would have never found. I appreciated the thoughtfulness and variety, from food stalls to cafes to trendy bars, the stops were off the beaten path and beyond the typical tourist traps.   just now New I highly recommend Sabores Mexico Food Tours. We had a brilliant day yesterday, having booked a tour in Coyoacan with our guide, Jimena, a warm and smart person raised and living in Coyoacan. Jimena met us promptly at a really cool coffee shop, El Beneficio de la Duda, …charming and characteristic with great coffee and pastries. We then explored the surrounding barrio, starting with several stops within Mercado de Coyoacan. The market is an explosion of color, aromas and texture. The food was off the charts, and I am confident we would not have stumbled onto such a rich experience without Jimena’s insight and guidance. We booked the “7 Lugares” option, but Jimena seemed to add in extra stops based on our reactions and interests. Truly I can’t say enough, certainly about the introduction to authentic Mexican cuisine but more generally about the rich culture and history of this chic district within CDMX. Brilliant!

  We had a wonderful time across Coyoacan learning a lot about the marketplaces as well as many traditional Mexican dishes. Our food guide Kiomi Puente was so fun to be with and had so much knowledge about the food and the history of Coyoacan. Our group size was just the 4 of us. We would definitely recommend!

  The tour was excellent. Got a great feel for what makes coyoacan a destination of its own. Every stop from the tlayudas, to the quesadilla, and particularly the tostadas were phenomenal ( not to say any less of the agua fresca and other stops). And what made it even better was having such a ln awesome and involved guide in Jimena; she made the whole experience go up a notch. Highly recommended

  Jimena was absolutely wonderful! She’s incredibly knowledgeable and made the entire tour engaging and fun. Every stop she chose was delicious and thoughtfully selected. I highly, highly recommend both this tour and Jimena as a guide — she made the experience unforgettable!

  I did 3 food tours while visiting Mexico City and this one had by far the best food. My guide Jimena was interesting and knowledgeable about the neighborhood, had great advice on the remainder of my trip, and ensured I was very full and happy at the end of the tour. I highly recommend it! Especially if you plan on visiting the Frida Museum in the same neighborhood.

  This was my first time visiting Coyoacán. Kiomi was an excellent host, sharing her culinary knowledge as well as the history of the area. If there is one thing I can't emphasize enough, it's to skip breakfast and come to this tour starving. You will not leave hungry; it is such a great value for the price. All of the food and beverages we sampled were delicious, and I was provided with a pamphlet with all of the names and addresses of each stop (plus some additional recommendations) so I can find them again the next time I am in CDMX. This trip is perfect for both foodies and just open-minded hungry people.

  Such a wonderful food tour of Coyoacán! We absolutely loved our guide Jimena, she was both knowledgeable and fun! We tried markets and food stands that as tourists we never would have found. Had a taste of many dishes - the quesadilla and tostada were favorites! Learned a lot about the culture and was also a good walking tour of the neighborhood. I was easily accommodated as a pescatarian. No need for dinner afterwards! And bellies felt fine the next day :)

  The food was incredible. Super fun recipes, great locations where you can sit down with the locals. We had 7 stops, trying drinks, savoury and sweet dishes. Our guide Kiomi was great! She took the time to explain the history of the neighborhood, on top of what we were eating. I highly recommend it!
