Unleash your inner distiller at Stornoway's Gin School with this hands-on experience for 2. Together, you and your partner will craft your own unique gin from a selection of over 50 botanicals, guided by an expert distiller.
Start with a refreshing Landfall G&T and a full gin tasting that immerses you in the world of gin-making. After designing your flavour profile, you'll distill your recipe on mini traditional copper pot stills and take home a full-size 70cl bottle of your creation.
This 3-hour experience is perfect for gin lovers looking to learn and enjoy together.

You must advise us 24 hours in advance to change an attendee to driving or not driving as we pour the measures for the gin tasting in advance of you arriving to give you the smoothest experience while you are with us.

If you are lucky enough to look under the age of 25, you may be asked for government issued ID to confirm your age. If you are not able to provide us with appropriate proof of age, you may be denied attendance at the gin school, and no refund will be provided.

A 3 hour Gin School experience, each booking is for 1 or 2 people sharing one still... After a welcome drink - a perfect serve of Landfall Gin - you'll start your course with the full gin tasting experience, where you will also learn about the key botanicals that we use in gin, and how we developed the recipe for multi award winning Landfall Gin. After this you will learn how to build a flavour profile for your own gin, and your distiller will guide you to design your own unique recipe from our choice of over 50 botanicals. Next, you'll weigh out and distil your recipe on one of the mini stills, to create a full size 70cl bottle of your gin to take home, and then hand label and finish your bottle. - Drivers option available with soft drink on arrival and 5cl mini bottles of Landfall and premium tonic to take home instead of alcoholic samples during gin tasting.* *You must advise us 24 hours in advance to change an attendee to driving or not driving as we pour the measures for the gin tasting in advance of you arriving to give you the smoothest experience while you are with us.

5.00We had an awesome time. We learned a lot about gin itself and the process of making gin. Best 'school lesson' we've ever had. 😃 Making our own gin (with a little help from Gez) was a unique experience. If you visit Stornoway you have to do this !!!

5.00We were treated to the Gin School Experience during our stay on the Isle of Lewis. What an amazing time we had. Gez was so knowledgeable and passionate about the Stornaway Distillers and the Isle of Lewis. After sampling some Landfall gin and learning the process we were able to produce our very own unique bottle of gin. From choosing botanicals through to bottling, Gez guided us with great enthusiasm. An unforgettable experience that we would thoroughly recommend to anyone whilst on the Isle of Lewis.

5.00Absolutely phenomenal experience, both my partner and myself were blown away by Gez and his detailed knowledge and clear passion for everything he does! We were amazed at how quickly the time flew by and how involved and fun the gin school was. Quite possibly the best bookable experience in Stornoway, would highly recommend for anyone! We also might have made the best gin ever made!

5.00We had such a brilliant day with Gez at Stornoway Distillers. The tastings were delicious, we loved learning more about the whole process, using and choosing different botanicals to build a flavour profile. Distilling our own recipe gin felt like an exciting thing to do, especially to mark a big birthday! Very informative, relaxed session where we were able to laugh, share stories and create something uniquely special.

5.00What a fantastic few hours spent learning about gin. Tasting different flavours then getting the chance to make a bottle of gin with chosen favour notes. Well worth booking to experience the chance to make and take your own gin home. Nat and Jez were great hosts.

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed our Gin School class with Gez. He was very informative and went through the entire process of distilling gin down to all the science involved. It even included a gin tasting of their Landfall Gin. We walked away with a better appreciation of what it takes to make gin and our very own gin. Well worth the money.
