Our studio is located in a typical and narrow street of morro da Sé Cathedral, in a walking distance you will find Sé Cathedral, Ribeira, D. Luis I Bridge, Guindais, São Bento Station, and the neighbourhood of Sé itself it's a typical and magical place full of inspiring spots.

I'm a local Fine Artist Painter, lived & studied Arts for all my life abroad and at my home town Porto, a few years ago along with my wife Silvia decided to open our Studio Gallery in the most inspiring neighbourhood of Porto. The neighbourhood of Sé Cathedral right at the historical centre, close to Ribeira, D. Luis Bridge, Clerigos Tower it's in a narrow and typical street off the beaten path where I have everything I need to do my Art and host you in a Unique Painting Class...

What an amazing experience. 3 of us were NOT experienced artist of any kind. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Hugo was super friendly and helpful the entire time. Quaint location and clean studio and work area. It is absolutely worth the time and price. It will be 1 of many experiences. But we will talk about this more. Just do it, it was great!

What a lovely experience. I was fortunate to be the only one so it was like a private lesson. I learnt alot and it was an enjoyable time . Thank you so much.

The host was incredible, so friendly and helpful. We had a small workshop group of 4 including Hugo. He assisted us when needed but didn’t loom over our shoulder. He was professional and courteous. The workshop was fun, enjoyable and it felt like a privilege being in his workshop he truly is a master of his craft and I can’t recommend him or this experience enough I certainly feel like it’s worth your time if you want an unforgettable experience.

My husband, sons and I had a wonderful morning with Hugo. You do not need to know how to paint to enjoy this activity and when you are done, you get to take a handmade piece of Porto home with you! Hugo goes step by step and makes it easy to follow along. If you are looking for a fun twist for your vacation, please sign up for this class. You will not regret it!

A really fabulous class , Hugo was informative and super friendly. He guided us to create a watercolour of our own , always attentive and helpful.. He got all the class involved and made us all feel at ease ... I recommend this painting experience to everyone, of all abilities.. Muito obrigado Hugo, e ate breve 🙏😊

A really excellent and relaxing experience. Hugo is lovely, patient and a great teacher. I’d say this class is equally suited to someone with some experience of watercolour painting or a complete novice, Hugo tailors his approach to your ability. Definitely recommend.

Doing a water color painting with Hugo do Lago in Porto, Portugal, was a lot of fun. Hugo does the hard work of providing you with a drawing of a scene in Porto. He then directs you on how to paint the scene. At the end you will have a nice souvenir suitable for framing.
