After breakfast, we'll set off on an exhilarating cross-border adventure into Slovenia, beginning with the fairy-tale allure of Lake Bled, a glacial jewel cradled by snow, capped Julian Alps, where the 11th-century Bled Castle dramatically crowns a sheer 130-meter cliff, offering spellbinding panoramas of the turquoise waters and mythical island below. In the morning, we'll cross into Montenegro's rugged beauty, beginning with the enchanting UNESCO-listed town of Kotor, a petite Venetian jewel nestled on the Adriatic coast within the dramatic Boka Kotorska Bay, a submerged river canyon often mistaken for Europe's southernmost fjord, cradled at the base of Mt. Lovćen's towering limestone cliffs rising over 1,700 meters.
Budva City Walls
We'll venture to the vibrant Budva, Montenegro's sun-soaked gem on the Adriatic coast and crown jewel of the Budva Riviera, renowned for its golden sandy beaches that stretch along turquoise bays framed by dramatic mountains and pine-scented cliffs. We are returning to Dubrovnik in the evening.

5.00We can't thank you enough to Annamaria, who has been very patient to us. She carefully crafted the itinerary to match our expectation. She's also fast response and cater our needs. As people with weak passport, we need to apply schengen visa with quite strict requirements, we consulted with Annamaria and she gladly answered and provided solution. During our trip, Hrvoje was assigned to be our companion / tour guide, he was like a close friend to us. He took care of us during the trip and make sure we're enjoying the trip. Will definitely recommend Zico tour to our friend and relatives.

5.00This was a tour was truly amazing. We saw so many beautiful places and interesting things. Robert was our driver / tour guide. My husband and I have been on many tours through the years. He was the best one and made our vacation an amazing, enjoyable and stress free experience. Robert was very knowledgeable. He made restaurant recommendations that were perfect for us. Robert would make modifications to the days activities based on our abilities/needs/wants. Unfortunately Robert had to leave us due to a death in his family. We completely understood. He left us in good hands with George but Robert was truly missed. We would highly recommend this tour….and Robert.

5.00We had an exceptional experience, Adam made us everything easy sending Robbie with us. Robbie chose the best tour guide in town. We had a private tour starting at Zagreb and ending at Dubrovnik. I recommend them 100%.

5.00WOW - What a trip! This was my first tour I have taken like this (only day tours in the past). If I were to rate Zico Tours, I would rate it a 15 out of 1-10 (if not higher). Adam was such a pleasure to work with while planning our trip, answering all questions very timely and providing us with one of the most fabulous trips I have taken. The hotels were hand picked and amazing (especially Opatija Mozart Hotel), as were the tour guides! Rose, Christy and I arrived in Zagreb to find Ned waiting for us at the Airport. He helped us with our luggage, drove us to our hotel and then gave us a tour of the beautiful old city. He was so informative and kind. After the tour he dropped us at our restaurant for our welcome dinner. The next morning we were greeted by our driver Robert. Robert was our driver, tour guide and soon became our friend. Robert spent the next 7 days with us "ladies"! He was so timely, informative, knowledgeable, kind, caring, and our wingman! He answered all our questions and more, showed us the beautiful countryside, added extra bonuses and got absolutely drenched in the pouring rain showing us around. We reminded ourselves several times - there is no bad weather, just bad gear. Robert is also a great driver and I felt very safe with him! We toured Lake Bled and Ljubljana in Slovenia, many coastal cities in Croatia, hiked Plitvice Lakes National Park (a MUST see for anyone in Croatia - It was beautiful!). We visited Split in Croatia, Mostar in Bosnia (had a local meal and local wine in Mostar - Robert thank you for encouraging me to try the food), Dubronvik in Croatia and Budva, Zotor and Perast in Montenegro. . We were provided with great local tour guides in Zagreb (Ned), Truffle Hunting in Istria (Nikola), Split (Ina), Mostar, Bosnia (Mirza "Prince"), Zotor, Montenegro (Milica), Dubrovnik (Ivana), We could not have asked for a better experience than the one we had! The Adriatic Sea and the countries we visited are absolutely beautiful! I HIGHLY recommend that anyone wanting to visit this area to look into Zico Tours!

5.00I have traveled to many countries in Europe, the Middle East and Asia and this tour was by far the best Private tour ever. Even going in the off season (End of December), the tour agency and guide Robert knocked this out of the park. Everyday, we had a quick meeting about the days itinerary and schedule and the off we we went. On many occasions, we were able to stop at locations for a ad hoc experience that weren't part of the tours itinerary, but made the trip over-the-top. Not only did the agency book our last-minute trip over the Christmas break, they also provided THE best tour guide ever, Robert. He was so informative on any question we had, his reputation and friendship with other guides was evident to see and even got us access to sites that would otherwise be closed for breaks. He was family friendly and offered recommendations on everything from food to locations for Mass. Most importantly he was an instant hit with our son who has Autism, for this alone, the trip was worth it. If you are ever in the area and want to have a quality tour without all the hassles of mass tours, this is the best option. It capitalizes on the natural beauty of the surrounding countries and provides for a worthwhile and memorable tour that will leave you stunning memories that last a life time. There was literally nothing about this tour that I would change. The food, culture, drink, people, sites and experiences were sublime.

5.00Great vacation experience for 5 of us! We had the best guide Robert who showed us his beautiful country like no one else would. Hotels were picked with love, van new and comfortable, meals are excellent! We are definitely coming back for more❤️

4.00We were so pleased with this tour. We really did not know what to expect, but our guide Neven went above and beyond for us.
He waited for a long time to pick us up at the airport since our flight was delayed. When we got into the car, he had already bought us waters and Bajadera chocolates which were delicious! He told us stories about the chocolates and always had information or stories along the tour.
Neven was very upfront and honest with us, which made it very easy to coordinate meeting times and have a relaxed journey. You could tell that he cared about making sure we had a good experience, in whatever way we felt most comfortable with.
There were times along the trip where traffic was very busy, or we had to drive on narrow and winding roads. I can honestly say our guide is the best driver I have ever met in my life. I am usually not able to sleep in cars, but I was so at ease that I took a lot of good naps!
The destinations along this tour were all very beautiful. I think we enjoyed Ljubljana, Motovun, Trogir, Plitvice, Zadar, Dubrovnik, and the cities in Montenegro the most. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and we were there just shy of the busy tourist season July - August. We always visited the old parts of town, and Neven gave us time to roam whenever possible.
We chose the option where our hotels were booked for us, and that worked out well. There was one time when they had the room wrong, but Neven worked with our tour company to book another room very quickly. The breakfasts and overall food was great!
One of my favorite examples where Neven really treated us was when he went to pick up some things while we were sitting by the Adriatic. He surprised us with beers! And knowing that we had different preferences, he picked out just the right ones :
I am giving the tour 4 stars because although it was very good, we maybe tried to do too much. The history in Mostar was fascinating, but it was difficult to walk there so maybe more time in Dubrovnik would be better.
Overall the company and our guide were great!
