Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary
This tour leaves the City to Crooked Tree for a day of Birding at the Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary. Your guide will give you a full birding and rich cultural experience of their village. You will explore through several trails around the village of Crooked Tree where you’ll see and capture a few snaps on fowls and waders, Heron Egrets, Storks and much more. The tour will also visit the western cause-way and north end of the Crooked Tree Community. Thereafter, leave the community and return to Belize City.

5.00Maya Walks took us to Crooked Tree Sanctuary to see birds. Richard was our guide and he was great! The water system at Crooked Tree is a large interconnected lagoon, river and side channels. We boarded on land and on the water seeing hundreds of water birds. The water was clean and a healthy ecosystem exists. Richard worked hard to spot all kinds of birds, clearly enjoying his work and enhancing our experience. Highly recommended going there and using Richard from Maya Walks company.

5.00Crooked Tree was lovely. We did a lot of bird viewing by car but once we saw birds we would park on the side of the road and walk. Absolutely worth the visit.
