Cu Chi Tunnels
7:30 am - We will start our day in Ho Chi Minh City as we embark on a journey to the renowned Cu Chi Tunnels. These tunnels have gained recognition as a heroic district due to their significant role in the resistance against the Vietnam War. Covering over 220km, this underground tunnel system holds legendary status and attracts numerous tourists, both local and international. En route to Cu Chi from Ho Chi Minh City, we will traverse the picturesque countryside, where you may even catch a glimpse of ducks and buffalo taking respite in the river. It is difficult to fathom the extent of destruction and devastation that once plagued this area, caused by relentless bombing and mines when Cu Chi served as an "open target zone."

Following our exploration of the tunnels, we will pause for a delightful lunch featuring local Vietnamese cuisine before returning to Ho Chi Minh City. Our itinerary in the city includes visits to notable landmarks such as the Reunification Palace, which served as the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until the war's conclusion in April 1975. Additionally, we will explore the Notre Dame Cathedral, the General Post Office, and the War Remnants Museum. The tour will conclude at 17:00, marking the end of our exciting day of exploration and discovery.

5.00We spent the day with our guide Jen exploring the Cu Chi Tunnels and Ho Chi Minh City on 6 August 2025. We booked a private tour and really enjoyed the personalised experience, especially around the busy tunnel area (and it wasn’t even the busy tourist season!). Jen was extremely knowledgeable and taught us so much about the history of the Vietnam war. We highly recommend this option for those that don’t want to be stuck in a big group. Everything was smooth and easy, from booking to confirmation and general communication. We were picked up from our hotel in the morning - the car was spotless and comfortable and the driver one of the best we’ve had on this trip. Jen explained the itinerary for the day and we had a rest stop at the Lamphat Company Handicapped Handicrafts workshop - another eye opening experience and we brought some beautiful lacquer art. We explored the tunnels and the exhibits - my advice is to bring a fan because it’s really hot and humid in the rainy season - but well worth it to learn about this historic location. Water was provided for us as well. We returned to the city for lunch and then visited some other sites, including the Saigon Post Office, War Remnants Museum, the Independence Palace and Notre Dame Cathedral. Overall a great tour and fantastic experience that we highly recommend. Thank you Jen!

5.00Had a wonderful trip to Cu Chi Tunnel and around HCM city centre. Our guide Hannah is very knowledgeable about Vietnam history and ensures we all have a safe and comfortable trip. She helped us explore local gems that we would never find ourselves. Overall, thumbs 👍 up!

5.00The tour was amazing We saw all the main attractions from the tunnels through to the post office, the book street, the war museum and the president’s palace which BUNNY our private tour guide for the day was amazing. She spoke excellent English and her knowledge regarding the history and Vietnam in general was extraordinary. She was kind and catered to our needs. 5.00This was a great tour with a great guide, Kevin. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and supportive throughout the whole day. Nothing was rushed, and he made sure we had ample bathroom breaks as this was truly a full day. The tunnels were very interesting-highly recommend, and there were a few other really interesting stops at local places, allowing us to try and experience different food, drinks and more. The van itself was clean, air conditioned and safe. It's one for the books!

5.00Kevin our guide was terrific, he was knowledgeable, and very personable. We had a great day with him, learnt alot about Vietnam, and it's history, and had a few laughs along the way. Couldn't recommend Kevin or the tour anymore.

5.00This was a wonderful day with the energetic, enigmatic, knowledgeable & helpful Tu. The trip was a full day but very mixed. Tunnels, Mekong with rowing our favourite so far. Lots of delicacies and fruit to try along the way too.

5.00Our guide, Jen, spoke English and was easy to understand. She took us to the Tunnels, and a city tour. Jen was very knowledgeable. She answered our questions and gave excellent commentary about the sites we were visiting. We had a great day. I would highly recommend this tour. Our driver, Lucky, and our guide Jen did a great job. Happy Travels Slade.

5.00how fabulous We took a daily tour with full of experiences. The tour brought us tears but it was worth it. We did not expect a lot of things to see but Tu showed us then. I would love recommend all of you that tour. I think everyone will be interested in with his infomation.
