Cu Chi Tunnels
Tour stars approximately at 7:30AM to 7:00PM - This full-day tour takes you from Ho Chi Minh city to two popular attractions: Cu Chi Tunnels, and the Mekong Delta. Around 7:30am. Get picked up from your hotel in the center of Ho Chi Minh city and head to Cu Chi Tunnels. After 1.5 hours ride, we arrive at the tunnels where you will get a chance to learn about the fascinating history and significance of the tunnels during the Vietnam War. You will have the opportunity to crawl distances of the tunnels, try your hand at the shooting range, and witness the intricate network of underground tunnels and traps that played a significant role in the war. After exploring the tunnels, we'll head to a local restaurant for lunch to try some of the delicious local Vietnamese cuisine (vegan food available).
My Tho
After lunch, we'll head to My Tho - the heart of the Mekong Delta region. You'll get a glimpse into the daily life of the locals as we take a boat ride down the Mekong River, where you can enjoy the picturesque scenery of the surrounding countryside. We will then take a sampan ride through the small waterways with coconut palms line both sides, where you can experience the rural lifestyle, stop by the bee house to enjoy some local fruits and honey tea, listen to a live local music performance performed by the villagers. We'll wrap up our day and head back to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon and be taken back to your hotel. This is a unique opportunity to experience some of the best Southern Vietnam has to offer, with a mix of history, culture, and natural beauty all in one day.

5.00Our tour guide Alex Cuong was an excellent and very knowledgeable tour guide. He was more than a tour guide he also felt like a friend we had known our whole lives. He is super funny, playful, friendly and kind, always making us laugh while also sharing worlds of knowledge and history. Alex made sure no-one felt pressured into doing anything they did not feel comfortable doing. Alex made the experience much better than any expectations. We had a lovely day learning, adventuring, laughing and making memories.

His knowledge, enthusiasm, and warm personality brought everything to life and made the day feel genuinely special. 5.00We had an amazing day visiting both cu chi tunnels and Mekong delta (unicorn island and coconut island). Both places were interesting and had some fun there. Our guide (Kai) was informative, friendly, and really attentive Highly recommend this tour to everyone!

5.00We really enjoyed the day tour. The Cu Chi tunnels in particular are super interesting, good to learn a little more about the war and how people had to live. Our tour guide Wing was excellent, he had great energy and shared loads of useful information and advice throughout the day. There is a lot of bus travel, but that is expected to see so much in one day!

5.00It was one of my favorite tours after traveling 2 weeks in Vietnam. Our tour guide was Kai and he did such a great job and always made sure we’re safe and comfortable and fully confirmed. Highly recommended!

3.00Cu Chi Tunnel was very interesting to learn about the war history and Mekong Delta itself was beautiful. Our guide Justin was very knowledgeable. It’s not stated in description, but we made a stop at a handicap craft centre before Cu Chi Tunnel. It’s a centre for handicap people making souvenir crafts from duck eggshells. Their products are beautiful and I think it’s a great opportunity for the handicap people to get creative and selling their products - but we kinda feel bad for them, being surrounded by tourists, all the time, every day. You can buy their finished products, or you can make some donation. Lunch - typical Vietnamese food and it was average. They can accommodate your dietary (ie : no pork, no seafood, vegetarian). Mekong Delta tour - rather disappointing. The whole thing is for tourists with few unnecessary stops. 1. Honey farm - drink some tea with honey and eating banana and ginger chips. They trying to sell you their products 2. Coconut candy shop - this one was nice to see how they make various flavor coconut candy and we bought a pack of coconut candy 3. Folks performance while eating local fruits (rather awkward for us). 4. Rowing boat - this was pleasant. Until the lady asked 100K while we were looking for smaller notes to give tips (Justin said 10-20K is fine). “You'll get a glimpse into the daily life of the locals as we take a boat ride down the Mekong River, where you can enjoy the picturesque scenery of the surrounding countryside” - description on GetYourGuide - it’s more like get a glimpse of the Mekong River as we take you to the island and shops with the locals. The boat ride on Mekong River lasted less than 10 mins each way to and from the island. That’s all. While boarding we were given a fresh coconut drink, I had few sips. Left on our seat when we reached the island. Thinking to continue drink afterwards. When we came back to get back to the mainland, coconut drinks were removed from our seats and mixed with others. I wish we could see more of the delta by driving more on the boat and listen to the guide about life on delta rather than spending 90% time on the island. The operator itself was excellent. Comfortable limousine, picked up on time. Driver and guide both were nice.
