Cu Chi Tunnels
We’ll pick you up at your Ho Chi Minh City hotel in the early morning, and you’ll travel with your English-speaking guide to the Cu Chi tunnels. The drive is around 60 km. At Cu Chi, you’ll be shown a documentary film about the tunnels and learn how the locals made bamboo traps, rice paper, and rice wine. You’ll then have the opportunity to explore the web of underground tunnels dug by Vietnamese resistance fighters.
My Tho
After exploring the tunnels, we’ll drive to My Tho. This is one of the provinces that comprise the Mekong Delta area. We’ll cruise by boat along the upper Mekong through a region with islands named after 4 animals that appear in Buddhist writings – Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Turtle. On this part of the tour, you’ll observe some of the activities of regional Vietnamese daily life and appreciate how life here depends on the River. We’ll then take you on a trip by rowboat along the small waterways. You’ll see the agricultural richness of the delta region in its fruit orchards, coconut groves, and bee-keeping farms. We’ll stop so you can enjoy honey tea, seasonal fruit, fresh coconut candy, and southern Vietnamese folk music. At the end of our tour, we’ll drive back to Ho Chi Minh City and drop you off at your hotel at around 18:00.

5.00Thank you so much for a great day out . We had so much fun and Kevin made this trip one to remember . A lesson in the anti American resistance war, to having fun holding snakes and eating royal jelly ! Both informative and fun . The food was bountiful and free drinks on the vehicle there and back . The day was packed full of adventures and laughs and I cannot thank you enough .. Kevin made the trip a wonderful day out . Thank you .

5.00Kevin was an excellent guide being charming, humorous and knowledgeable. Kevin’s admiration and love of his country was clear and we came away feeling, amongst other things, much more informed about the resistance and also privileged to have had a small insight into local small industries and culture. Kevin ensured everything ran smoothly and we certainly enjoyed having a guide to remove the responsibilities of timings, travel, food etc. FYI make sure you take enough notes for tipping. There aren’t a lot but even so we were embarrassingly ill prepared, our bad! If you feel tempted to buy anything, I would highly recommend the chilli salt and sun-dried pomelo! The coconut sweets were really tasty too. A great day, relaxed pace I felt and very informative and enjoyable.

5.00Had a really great tour with our guide Kevin. He was funny, informative and full of energy. The highlight of my tour was going into the tunnels and dropping into the small tunnel entrance for a photo. Grateful to Kevin for pulling me out. (I'm a bit on the shorter side!) 😂 Would really recommend this tour. It's full of history and shows how resilient and clever the people and troops were during the war and still continue to be. Kevin is a great ambassador for his country. Thank you Kevin.
