Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian MARTIAL ART that combines FIGHT, CULTURE, DANCE, MUSIC and ACROBATICS. It teaches discipline, self-defense, physical fitness, and on top of all of that is extremely connected to the Afro-Brazilian ancestry. The class is directed to BEGINNERS students who have NEVER TRAINED Capoeira. So don't worry, it is not necessary to have any type of experience! You will be just fine. I will teach you the attacks, defenses and flow movements. Be prepared to breathe the culture of Salvador. Training with us, you will learn so much more than just the exercise, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Vamos!

This is a physical experience for sure, yet an amazing and authentic one. You get to immerse in the basics of capoeira from the starting point of capoeira that we know today worldwide. This is an authentic Salvador experience as it can be, especially for anyone who wants to get a workout during your vacation!

Actually, we only wanted to attend the samba course, but then we also participated in the capoeira course. We got to know a lot about the origin and tradition of samba and capoeira and were not physically spared! We had a lot of fun and the sore muscles are on the way;) Absolutely recommend!

We booked a capoeira class at Associaçao de Capoeira Mestre Bimba. As complete beginners, we were first taught the basics before going into some more challenging work. Our teacher was very knowledgeable and patient with us as we got our heads around the different exercises. The class is a lot of fun and a great way to learn more about the art of capoeira. Be ready to sweat, because this class is some great exercise.

Very nice ! We really enjoyed it with my boyfriend. It’s great to see and experience capoeira as it is big part of culture in Salvador de Bahia.

10/10 experience! They were very nice and helpful. Before the lesson, they told us about the history of the place and capoeira itself. We were beginners and this was our first experience with capoeira. Because of this place it definitely wont be our last, it was a lot of fun. It was intens and exhausting, but we had a blast. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience!

Gone two days ago. Capoeira is a really spectacular dance-fight, doing even one lesson, as an absolute beginner, gave me a glimpse into this wonderful culture. The show is really nice, engaging and fun, I was also called by the audience to "fight" against the master. Thanks also to the girl who had the patience to teach us some steps. "Ginga." I highly recommend this school if you want to see some capoeira

This was so fun! Joyful, yet challenging in all the best ways. This was a wonderful introduction to samba and capoeira. We took both classes back to back. Our instructors were kind, knowledgeable, and passionate!!! You will get sweaty so dress appropriately! Don’t miss this awesome class!

Excellent! We took the 1 hour class and we thought it would be too short but it was intense! And we loved it as we went through many basics! The teacher only speaks portuguese but it really feels authentic! We definitely recommend!
