Pelourinho
Visit music studio inside Peulorinho neighborhood. This itinerary will visit a space of vibrant cultural and musical production of the city, aiming to experience the creativity that fosters the process of producing sounds and rhythms inspired by the African continent. It will provide our client with an encounter with the sounds of Bahia through a workshop and a percussion class taught by talented rhythm artists, where they will learn about the versatility of our music production, ranging from samba-reggae, a rhythm that enchanted Michael Jackson, and Brazilian jazz.

5.0010 out of 10, highly recommend! This class was great! The guide and the teacher were very friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. I was the only one in the class which could have been very awkward but they made me feel like I was just part of the gang vibing with the beats. I feel this is a very uniquely Salvador activity and recommend it to anyone who is interested in getting a hands-on Salvador experience!

5.00A must for amateur or more advanced percussionists visiting Salvador. I learned basic rhythms of the Bahia tradition ( Ijexa, samba de roda, t Rhythms of candomble, samba reggae) . The master was patient, attentive and very competent. The master speaks Portuguese but Alex, the guide is a good translator. Unforgettable and friendly experience

5.00Maestro Macambira gave a phenomenal class. He shared about both the history and spirituality related to percussion playing and we jammed to many different rhythms, along with my guide Alex, who is also very talented. I also took this class on my birthday and so happy I got to celebrate in this special way.

5.00This was a brilliant experience! Our guide Nilsen was phenomenally knowledgeable about Afro-Brazilian history, and the class itself was superb fun, and completely absorbing. We worked our way through various rhythms including Samba Rio, Samba Bahia and Samba Reggae on 2 different types of drum with teacher Macambira. The 3 hour duration seems to include collection & drop off - the class itself was 90 (marvellous) minutes and took place in Pelhourino. Very highly recommended!

5.00Amazing class. High energy and cheerful professors. My son wants a second one!!!! Professors are very knowledgeable and professional. Shared a lot about the history and background of the music learned.

5.00it was maybe the best experience visiting Salvador Bahia. Great teacher, nice atmosphere. Just wonderful. It is really fully recommended. And our guide Wagner just took part of it and before and after showed us the best places to visit close to Pelourinho (bars, restaurants, shows). He was very helpful.
