You will see works of carved wood such as the choir, pulpit and altars, beautiful paintings from the Cusquenian School of Art and works of silver.
Qorikancha
Inside you will see smaller temples dedicated to the sun, moon, stars, maintaining the original stone foundations. Outside there is gardens and fountains on the grounds of the temple of the sun.

5.00The Cusco region is steeped in fascinating history and it is worth arranging a tour (and other tours a cross the Sacred Valley). Our travel advisor with Tierra Viva Hotels arranged our tours for us. We had the best tour guide in the Sacred Valley Region, Dionel Baca Collantes. Dionel is exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate about the history in this region. He truly brings it to life right before your eyes. Just as important, Dionel personalized the experience for us, which made it even more special. As I've mentioned in other posts, the Sacred Valley can offer transformational experiences so it is important to be with a guide that provide this. In all of my travels, Dionel is the best guide that I have ever had!
