  DesertTrips is THE way to do a tour of Morocco! After initially exploring Marrakech on our own, we embarked on an 8-day tour with DesertTrips that took us from Marrakech to Dades, Erg Chebbi/Sahara Desert, Merzouga, Fes (2 nights), Chefchaouen and Rabat. DesertTrips’ deep knowledge of Morocco was evident throughout, and their thoughtfully planned itinerary unfolded seamlessly. They incorporated all of our input, offering a suggested route that we were able to adjust and refine during the planning process. Once the tour began, we quickly realized that tackling Morocco on our own—as we have done in most of our travels—would have been overwhelming. Many of the country’s most spectacular highlights require long hours on the road, and having a professional driver made the journey relaxing, stress-free, and far more enjoyable. Our driver and guide, Said, was exceptional in every way: courteous, friendly, considerate, and always attentive to our preferences for the day’s schedule. We were consistently dropped off directly at our riads—or escorted to them—and Said would walk in with us to make introductions to the hosts. Each morning, he arrived promptly with an immaculate car stocked with bottled water. He always gave us the choice between tourist-style restaurants and more local spots for lunch. Had we been driving ourselves, we certainly would have missed these casual local eateries, which became some of our favorite experiences and gave us a taste of “authentic Morocco” as we would have also missed the experiences of his impromptu roadside stops for fresh fruit and freshly made olive oil. Thanks to Said’s warm personality and strong connections with local people, we also enjoyed special experiences (which we undoubtedly would have missed out on if we were on our own self-guided tour) such as a stop to hear traditional Gnawa music and a memorable visit with a Berber family in the desert. His care, hospitality, and knowledge truly elevated our trip. Thank you, Said, for taking such wonderful care of us! The local private guides arranged for us in Fes, Chefchaouen, and Rabat were excellent as well. Our accommodations were all very comfortable, and the breakfasts at each one were delightful. We highly recommend DesertTrips and we thank you for putting together an unforgettable Moroccan experience!

  We are extremely grateful for the work Med did to put this trip to Morocco together for us. We simply had no idea that the trip would be as fantastic as it was! Having the pleasure of our own private tour, where possible, also allowed us to tailor things a bit to our interests and abilities. Overall we'd recommend anyone to use them in setting up a trip to Morocco, as their attention to detail is outstanding. Then sit back and enjoy!

  I just have to tell you how much we enjoyed the tour of Morocco. It is such a beautiful, diverse, and interesting country. From Chefchaouen to Marrakech and everything in between, it was a perfect trip. Our local guides were all knowledgeable and passionate about their country. All spoke very good English and eagerly answered questions. The hotels and Riads were beautiful and served delicious food. A huge thank you to Med, who was the heart and soul behind bringing our vision to life. He took the time to truly understand what we wanted and created a dream itinerary that perfectly blended culture, history, adventure, and comfort. Every detail was thought out and executed flawlessly. Our driver, Mustapha, was the absolute kindest. He was not only professional and reliable but also warm, helpful, and made us feel completely at ease throughout our journey. And stopped when we asked to take pictures. He explained the sites we were passing when we did not have a guide with us. He is the most incredible driver I have ever seen. I swear he had eyes everywhere. Having someone like him on the road made all the difference. A special thank you as well to Khalil, who is behind-the-scenes efforts, ensured everything went smoothly. His dedication and support were invaluable. From Chefchaouen to Fez, the Sahara desert, and Marrakech, every highlight of Morocco exceeded our expectations. We are beyond grateful for this unforgettable experience and can’t wait to plan our next adventure with DesertTrips!

  DesertTrips (Med and Khalil) worked with us extensively to refine and plan our trip, to optimize our itinerary (one week in the north of Morocco), and stay within a reasonable budget. We had local guides for half days in Rabat and Chafchaouen, but a driver/guide for our Tangier visit (3 days) in the middle; the guides provided were excellent, especially Mohamed in Chafchaouen, with his local knowledge providing for some unique experiences and visits. Additionally, the drivers provided for connections (to and from the airport) were always on time and everyone was reachable. The hotels (in the requested range) were very nice four star sites, well located, and we were happy with those selections. All of the rooms were large with comfortable, roomy beds. The staff at the hotels were very accommodating and friendly. Having breakfast "included" was a plus, also positive experiences and enjoyable events; admissions to specific venues that were “included” (The Kasbah Museum, Caves of Hercules and Cap Spartel...etc) were problem free and expeditious. Restaurants we visited for dinners were also memorable, tasty, and well located. And we even got good weather! Our tour guide Hassan, is an absolute gem. He expertly navigated us through our visit to Tangier, educating us about the history and culture of Morocco. He was careful to ensure that all of our needs were met, including pivoting our schedule when the unexpected arose to ensure that we made the most of our time. Hassan was incredibly attentive, ensuring that we were safe and well cared for. He hilariously walked us through the city sights. It was a magical experience - one we were grateful we could just experience without much concern knowing that we were in good hands the whole time. Along the way, thoughtful little gifts from our driver Hassan made me feel they were with me each step of the way, making sure I had the best experience possible. And it really really was. I can’t imagine a better time. I highly recommend DesertTrips and the next trip? They will be the first people I call!

  After our trip, I can say I fully trust Desert Trips to deliver an itinerary, hotels, excursions, guides, accommodations, ...etc, that exceed the pre-trip input that I provide. I travel a lot, plan for large/small groups and enjoy the planning process, but I can see the higher level quality that Desert Trips provides, and which can only come from local, on-the-ground knowledge and expertise that the travel books rarely have. In particular, the private local guides and excursions we have enjoyed have been top, top quality. A private local guide at a place like Fes or Marrakech can make all the difference between a good experience and something you will never forget! Exceptional! I was pleasantly surprised when our incredible driver/guide Said texted me the first day. He was extremely professional and we spent nine days with him. Said was extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He was also a wonderful photographer and took the best photos of us and the sites. Said answered all the questions we threw at him, and we felt very at ease during the entire time we were with him. He was one of the best parts of our trip. We highly recommend Desert Trips and especially Said!! They have provided us with an elevated travel experience beyond what we can do ourselves, and at a cost that I would recommend to any serious traveller!!!

  There was nothing they wouldn't do for us.. They really listened to the kind of trip that we wanted to have - the places and areas that we wanted to visit, the style of accommodation that we were after, the types of activities that we would enjoy, and the pace at which we wanted it to go – and created an itinerary that reflected all of this. They also included some additional options that we hadn’t even imagined, but which were right up our alley! The trip itself was brilliant - admittedly a lot of that was due to the incredible experiences that Morocco offers - but Deserttrips can take much of the credit for pointing us in the right direction, putting us in some amazing places (and yes, the Sahara desert was awesome), and linking us up with some local guides. The detailed travel information that they provided was also first class. Huge shout out to our driver (Hsain) spelt wrong Im sure, sorry! By far the best driver I have ever seen, navigating obstacles on the roads with ease and keeping us safe. So helpful with everything we needed and such a nice guy and so informed with local knowledge. If you are planning a trip to Morocco, ask for Mr Hsain to be your driver and guide as he made the trip unforgettable. It was a very memorable adventure that worked smoothly and seamlessly from start to finish. The lack of any hiccups was indicative, we are sure, of a lot of thought, planning and effort behind the scenes to ensure that everything ‘worked’ and that we had such a special time. I couldn't encourage anyone thinking about one of the Moroccan trips more. Oint think about going, just Go!!

  Working with Desert trips while planning our private trip was a pleasure. They answered all my questions and arranged a custom itinerary for us super last minute—like within four days of when we were traveling, being careful to consider all options and checking with our driver... Assou was the best driver we’ve had. He met our every need while being polite, informative, and helpful every step of the way. He drove carefully and was a considerate driver, which we appreciated! He told us details about all of the things we drove by and had incredible insights about the cities we stopped in. And was very patient. He also brought us to a terrific restaurant that gave us a real Moroccan cuisine experience.   Just got back from an incredible 6 day trip to Morocco with Desert trips. From the beautifully curated itineraries to the friendly driver and the knowledgeable guides, every moment felt special. The itinerary had the perfect mix of culture, imperial cities, and desert. The accommodations were excellent, and they took care of every detail seamlessly. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to explore Morocco!

  We had never been to Morocco and decided to take the 10 day tour to the top cities and the desert. This trip was amazing, we got all the highlights of the cities, had a private driver and a car and stayed at beautiful Riads. The planning was flawless, though a little hectic as we had to cover a lot. The country is beautiful and the food delicious. We had local tour guides at most cities and they did a great job explaining the culture and history. If we had to do it again, maybe we would start at Marrakech and skip Casablanca and Rabat. Do the south leg first and either fly to Fez and Chefchaouen or cover these cities in the next trip. This country is truly beautiful and unspoilt by Industry. It would be great to just stay longer in each place and absorb the culture. I would totally recommend Desert trips to anyone.   Excellent experience with a private tour organised in Morocco by DesertTrips. Med was very prompt in responding and was also flexible with changes that we requested. All our drivers/guides especially Said and Mohamed(in Marrakesh) were very helpful and friendly. Overall amazing trip!!!
