The Danube river Bend region is a unique, very beautiful part of Hungary.
If you like nature and art, this tour is for you.
We pick you up at your place, and we take you back there (or somewhere else in the city, if you prefer.)
Since this is a private tour, we will focus on what you are interested in.
Tell us you preferences to help us make this perfect.
The duration is about 5 hours plus lunch (if you want to have lunch).
Lunch takes usually about 1 hour.
So if we start at 9 AM, we are usually back at about 3 PM (if we start at 9), but if you want to be back sooner,
that is also possible.
We visit Szentendre and Visegrad, too truly unique cities.

You don't have to walk a lot during the tour, if you don't want to. We can cover it by car, except some areas in Szentendre, but those areas are reachable by a 5-minute, level walking. We visit two towns along the Danube river: Szentendre and Visegrád. First we stop in the artistic village of Szentendre. This is the most beautiful little town near Budapest, in a natural environment. Colorful old houses, Mediterranean streets, graceful churches, nice cafes and quality souvenir/art shops with a huge choice of Hungarian contemporary and folklore art. Szentendre is home and inspiration for the best Hungarian artists. As the walk through the quiet oldtown streets, you can visit interesting museums or galleries presenting local art. Visegrád once was the capital of Hungary. From the hill you will enjoy the fascinating panorama of the Danube bend. Here we have an option of visiting the ruins of the castle (tickets: about 7 euros per person). During the tour we can also have lunch at a good restaurant with a view.

5.00This tour provided a though overview of the area, we really enjoyed the visit to Szentendre (the artists town) and the castle at Visegrad. There were many beautiful views of the Danube along the way, and he kept us entertained the whole time.

4.00It was a nice tour. Guide was informative of what we were seeing along the way. Stopped at some scenic points. At Visegrad we saw beautiful scenery, a castle ruins (from a distance), and had a very nice lunch. At Szentendre, we saw an old small church and then walked up and down the streets and in and out of shops which was ok but not totally exciting.

5.00We enjoyed our time with Gabriel immensely. He picked us up at our hotel at the appointed time and proceeded to take us to tour Szentendre and Visegrad. He was very pleasant, intelligent and well versed on the history of the sites we visited. In addition, he answered all of our questions and we appreciated the wonderful conversations we were able to have on a variety of topics. This is a private tour, more expensive than a group tour, but it was WORTH EVERY PENNY! if you can, book this tour and treat yourself to a fantastic experience. Ask for Gabriel, you will not be dissapointed, he was the best.

3.00We would have preferred an opportunity to set expectations up front. We’ve done similar tours in tbe past that are advertised as ‘go at your own pace’ and have been able to do some exploring on our own. Our guide was a little pushy when it came to what experiences he thought we should have, but it wasn’t always aligned with our interests. Female travelers may prefer a group experience. There were a few moments when my friend and I felt uncomfortable.
