Statue of King Decebalus
Straight drive from Timisoara ( around 3h drive ) all the way to the Danube Gorge where we will be taking about the biggest rock sculpture in Europe and get some great photos of Decebal, the last king of the Dacians.
Danube Gorge
Our journey continues with the highlight of our trip - a motor boat ride on through the Danube Gorge. The narrowest part of the Danube river is right here, creating a natural border between Romania and Serbia and we'll explore the 9km by motorboat.

5.00We had a great day with Sergiu. We wanted to see the Danube in Romania and a day trip from Timisoara seemed the best option within our itinerary. We're so glad we did this - Sergiu was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. He took us on a great road trip so we saw a lot of Romanian countryside, then a lovely boat trip on the Danube seeing the Romanian and Serbian sides. We also took a nice hike which ended in spectacular views of the gorge.

5.00Nice trip! It's worth a little cruise. Beautiful scenery if you can see Decebalo is fantastic! I recommend 3 days is enough p this beautiful landscape.

5.00Roberta took us on the tour and she was super cool. She knows the area well and explained the history. She was patient and we got along well. She even helped take photographs for us. We enjoyed our time and would recommend to anyone wanting to do this tour. On top of all that she had an awesome playlist for the cat ride. Thank you!

5.00I can say this is my favorite part during my timisoara visit .... I went with Sergiu ( the orginzer of the trip ) to this place and he is just amazing as the place is ... The journey was very comfortable and Sergiu is having th best driving skills so I don't have to worry .. we almost drove 500+ kms and covered all the places mentioned in the itinerary ... I would say don't miss this if you're in Timisoara ❤️

5.00The tour was a great experience. Beautiful views, excellent lunch and Dan was extremely knowledgeable of the history of the places we visited. The trip was very pleasant due to Dan skills at making us feel comfortable and engaged. We did not have a dull moment! Even during the driving time between stops, Dan talked about local architecture, legends, and the history of the places. I highly recommend the tour!
