  Ijen was beautiful, despite not seeing the blue fire it was 100% worth it. The sunrise at the summit was out of this world. Our guide Qim Qim was incredible. He is so friendly and knowledgeable, he made us all laugh and taught us a great deal about Ijen. Hike up to the summit was short (approx 1 hour) and relaxed as you can go at your own pace. At the end of the tour Qim Qim helped us plan the rest of our journey through Java.

  There is a lack of honesty in the advertisement of these tours. Please not there is very little chance of seeing the blue fire anymore. Tourists no longer go down to the edge of the crater and therefore unless there are very high winds, you will not see anything. This means you will have a tough hike in the middle of the night for no blue fire. Yes, you will see the sunrise over the ijen lake but personally I would much rather do this in the day when crowds are less and I have slept.

  This tour was really good although gutted that we couldn't see the natural blue flames but it's natural so it's a hit and miss. Our guide Qim Qim was super amazing as well as the co guide Kiki.

  We couldn’t have asked for better guides than Qim Qim and Kiki Kiki for our volcano Ijen adventure! From the start, their organization and communication were seamless, with a problem-solving approach that made everything run smoothly. Qim Qim is a true volcano of positive energy, always creating an incredibly friendly and cheerful atmosphere. Both Qim and Kiki were exceptionally prepared as guides, showing extraordinary care for the group throughout the tour. Their dedication to going the extra mile ensured a truly unforgettable and professional experience. A huge thank you to Qim and Kiki for making our journey so special – highly recommended!
