  Very relaxing, easy day walking the medieval town of Porvoo and learning about Finnish history and culture. Cesar was full of knowledge and made me feel comfortable being solo on this tour. He even took the time to explain and show me how to navigate the train system. Thank you Cesar and good luck to you! Maybe I will see you again in Norway, Lapland or Tallin!!😊 Best to you, Christine

  Spectacular to get out of Helsinki and visit Porvoo and learn the history and all the photos our A+++ excellent Tour Guide Daniella took for us and wonderful Bus experience too seeing the snowy countryside!

  Day Trip to Porvoo Darius picked us up from our hotel right on time. During the 50 minute drive east to Porvoo, he shared a wealth of information about Finland, its customs, and its history, which made the journey both interesting and enjoyable. On arrival, we were greeted by the most beautiful winter wonderland — stunning red, yellow and green houses nestled amongst fresh snow. As we walked through the town, Darius explained the history and traditions of the people who live there. The pace was relaxed and comfortable, allowing plenty of time to take photographs of this most picturesque town. Every corner felt like a postcard. We also enjoyed some free time after the guided walk, including a peaceful stroll along the frozen river. The 15th-century cathedral was especially beautiful, standing proudly against the snowy backdrop. We sampled local coffee and cake before being driven back to our hotel after what truly was a spectacular winter’s day. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone — especially those wanting to capture perfect winter photographs and see the real Finland.

  This tour included transportation from Helsinki to Porvoo by public bus. We were told to meet at 8:50 am so that we could catch the 9:05 bus to Porvoo. One woman was late, so we caught the 9:25 bus instead. The novelty of the bus wore off as soon as we pulled out of the terminal, and the bus made multiple stops to drop off and pick up passengers along the way, so it was a longer transport time than if we took a van directly there. Once in Porvoo, I found the city underwhelming. Our guide, Francisco, gave a nice tour of the city, but he was soft spoken, and a couple of my friends could not hear him well. After the tour, we had free time to get a snack and shop before we had to meet to catch the bus to Helsinki (and I think we lost 20 minutes of free time since we arrived late due to the one person being late, and I really would have liked more free time). We met the 1:20 pm bus, but our guide was unable to pay for our tickets on the bus for whatever reason, and he had to go inside to get the tickets. The bus left before he returned, and we spent another 30 minutes sitting at the bus stop waiting for the next bus. Overall, this was a terribly planned tour, Porvoo was nothing remarkable, and I do not recommend this tour.

  Great tour to Porvoo! I went solo but ended up making friends by the end, which made the experience even better. Harry was a knowledgeable and kind guide who shared interesting history along the way. Transport was smooth, the scenic views were beautiful, and I loved the local pastries and charming shops. Definitely a must-do tour!

  Harry was a fantastic guide who was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the town and Finland in general. Easy walking, plenty of opportunity to browse, enjoy a coffee and walk the woods and frozen lake.
