The most important place for Judaism. The wall surrounded the temple mount, on which stood the first and the second Jewish temple. The first was destroyed in 586 b.C. by Babylonian Army and the second in 70 a.C. by the Romans. So the Western wall is a most holy remains for the Jewish people on the world. Jerusalem destruction was predicted by Jesus as described in Lukas 19, 42-44

Ilya was a master tour guide! He took all measures on a very crowded Jewish holiday to make certain that we saw all the important sites listed on the itinerary.
