Jerash Ruins
Explore some of Jordan’s historical treasures on this full-day private tour to Jerash, Ajloun, and Umm Qais from Amman. Head towards Jerash and delve into its rich history as you explore its colonnaded streets, hilltop temples, amphitheater, public squares, plazas, and temples. Jerash is one of the best preserved classical sites; a rich and prosperous Greek and Roman city. It was founded by Alexander the Great around 331 BC, it later became one of the great Decapolis cities of the east. It is also a Bronze settlement where you can find the Temple of Artemis, the Forum, the oval plaza, as well as Hadrian’s Arch. Learn about the city and how it rose with a Greek federation, and then lived through the Muslim and Christian rule, which eventually fell during the Crusades.
Ajlun Castle (Qala'at ar-Rabad)
Proceed to Ajloun and visit the Ajloun Castle; a 12th Century fortress built by the forces of Saladin against the Crusaders. It was built to dominate the 3 major passages into northwest Jordan. This hilltop edifice is a striking example of medieval Arab-Islamic military architecture. The structures, towers, chambers, galleries, and staircases that form part of the town, as well as the beautiful scenery that surrounds the hills nearby, will captivate you for sure. Climb into the tower and look around to take in the historical atmosphere and delve into the picturesque views of the Jordan Valley to the Dead Sea.

5.00My guide Ahmad took great care of me for a whole day under the extreme bad weather. It was raining crazily the whole morning. Ahmad was so kind to greet me with coffee and cookies in the car when I was back to the car after the site visit with my whole body all wet. I won’t forget to afternoon tea he treated me on our way back during the peak-hour traffic. Great thanks for driving me so far today :)

5.00This was a great day to experience the archeological sites in just a day trip from Amman. The structures were beautiful and I enjoyed taking my time walking around Jerash city. Faisal was also a wonderful tour guide and ensured the trip was comfortable throughout the day. I highly recommend taking this tour with him.

My driver Ahmed Khader was very friendly, got me an umbrella due to the weather, and got me to each location in a timely manner and waited making it easy to be on our way as I finished. It was alot to see, everything was beautiful, I appreciate the transportation! Thanks!

5.00We had a fantastic experience with our driver Faisal Abu Rashid. He was very helpful for our trip to Jerash, Allyn castle, Umm Qais, telling us about the history and culture. He also answered all our questions about Jordan and was very knowledgeable about his country. He helped us find local guides at all the sites. He also gave us a recommendation for lunch and helped us order. Faisal was also a great driver and we felt comfortable and safe the whole time. Overall, we had a very enjoyable trip.

5.00He was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive throughout the trip. I wasn’t feeling well, and he went out of his way to make me comfortable; he even brought me tea and took extra time to ensure I felt okay. I never felt rushed, and the ride was smooth and relaxing. Thanks to him, my visit to Jerash and Ajloun Castle was absolutely amazing. His knowledge, care, and professionalism made the whole experience truly special. I will definitely be booking him again on my next visit!
