  I spent a wonderful day with Simone who is cultured, considerate and attentive. I discovered the Etruscan sites and the museum of Tarquinia in absolute comfort and tranquility. I highly recommend Simone , it is all Italy by his good humor and cheerfulness, again thank you .

  We did three day trips with Simone and they were all very informative and great fun. The Etruscan day was probably the highlight, especially the necropolis of Cerveteri, which is vast and unique. We learned a lot about the Etruscans and had fun clambering in and out of tombs. Our driver/ guide, Simone, made the day very enjoyable. We also recommend his trips to Hadrian's Villa/ Villa d'Este and the day along the Appian Way. We were very glad we had booked him for all three ahead of time.

  We had a wonderful tour with Simi visiting the Etruscan sites of Cerveteri and Tarquinia. Simi is a fantastic guide – very friendly, punctual, and clearly very passionate about the history of the region. He explained everything in a very engaging way and also shared helpful tips and recommendations along the way. The Etruscan necropolises are truly fascinating and definitely worth visiting. Unfortunately, at one of the sites only about half of the tombs were open to visitors because the others were under restoration, so we couldn’t see all of the painted tombs. Still, it was a very interesting experience and we learned a lot. The museum in Tarquinia is excellent and complements the visit to the necropolises perfectly. With Simi’s explanations, the history really came to life. Overall, we highly recommend Simi as a guide.   What a wonderful experience ! The tombs. especially Cerveteri, were amazing, the trip very well organized, and Simone, our driver/guide, an absolute pleasure to be with. I cannot imagine a better way to see both these sites. I highly recommend Scoot Around Rome.

  This was an excellent day trip. Simone our guide made the day come alive. He was friendly and very engaging and helpful. The Etruscan sites were amazing and so unique, absolutely worth seeing. I would recommend this tour to everyone.

  A wonderful day with beautiful countryside and views of the sea. The Etruscan tombs, especially the painted ones in Tarquinia, were amazing. The museums for each were interesting also. Don't miss the gelato shop in Tarquinia. Simone allowed plenty of time for exploring on your own but was always available to answer questions or give tips for things to see. He is such an informative guide with a great sense of humor and obvious love for Italy and its history. I would highly recommend Scoot Around Rome and Simone for any of the tours he offers. You will have an exceptional day!!

  An excellent day trip with Simon, who picked us up & dropped us off at our B & B. He was prompt & such fun to spend the day with as well as being very informative. Cold drinks are provided & we were not rushed at any time. He also provided us with a secondary phone fore site commentaries & to contact him if need be.   What a great day trip. Simon picked us up from our B & B, and was prompt, fun & very informative. Nothing was rushed & we visited both sites & and museum. The sites were not crowded & we took our time. He had cold drinks on hand for us, & gave us a secondary phone he had for site briefings & to call him if we wanted. We also had a lunch break & stops whenever we wanted. Lots of laughs with him during the day as well. An excellent day trip which we both enjoyed & highly recommend. With thanks.   We did two day trips with Simone.. they were both sensational! Simone shared his knowledge and passion, and his great sense of humor made the days fun, He went out of his way to fit in an extra unscheduled stop. Pitilgiano was my dream, Thanks Simone.. you made our trip the best ever. We’ll be back and will highly recommend your tours!

  We booked directly with Simone several months ago and took our tour with him last Saturday and it turned out to be of the best planning decisions we made for our trip! Simone was amazing and so responsive over email/WhatsApp on getting out tour customized beforehand. We were flying out of FCO the next morning so we wanted to be picked up from one hotel, drive around the tour sites with our luggage, and then be dropped off at the Hilton at the airport. Simone made it happen with such ease and hospitality, and we are so grateful for his service! The tour day itself was wonderful. After wading through so many enormous tour groups in the center of Rome and feeling rushed around in other tours due to time constraints and needing to get on mass transit, having a private driver that is only beholden to your schedule was such a luxurious treat! We felt that we were able to spend so much more time, enjoying ourselves at the sites and spending time immersing ourselves in these amazing places. Simone gave us a phone to contact him whenever we were ready for pickup, and it was such a relief knowing we had a ride when we were ready--everything was truly on our schedule! For lunch, Simone made reservations for us at a wonderful local trattoria that was so delicious and well priced! We never would have found that place without his recommendation and we're so glad that we had the opportunity. Our luggage was always with Simone in the car, so we felt super confident that it was safe and secure Overall, Simone was THE perfect tour for our last day in Rome. We can't recommend Simone woth Scoot Around Rome enough if you're looking for a truly personal way to tour the sights you've always wanted to see!
