• The tour was memorable for all the wrong reasons

  There were two issues with this trip. Firstly, Viator's images for the tour show many animals, such as lions and tigers, in a zoo setting. There were none on the tour, only what we found in the forest up in the trees. Secondly, I expected the driver and tour guide to know where Suba Forest was and how to get there. We set off at 8:00 am and I was told we ought be there in about 2 hours. After 3 hours it was clear that we were lost. We drove up and down the same stretches of track many times, at one point ending up in a field with an electricity pylon in front of us. The driver had to pull over in a village and hire a local person to guide us to the Suba Reception office, arriving after 4 hours of travel. The walks were nice but when we got to the waterfall it was almost dry as this was early May and not the rainy season. I understand that the tour staff aren't responsible for the weather but this was another disappointment. We didn't come across any vantage points along the way that might have offered a panoramic view - not that any were promised though. The journey back to Addis was OK. This tour is absolutely not worth $130.

  Went to the forest ,which is about 40km outside of addis ,some of the roads are poor to say the least,when at the park ,you can select which type of hike you wish,starting at 30mins upto 6hrs. The hike itself was very good,the local guide at the park was amazing. Then we visited a local village family to have local brew/alcohol and to drink some coffee. Good day out and worth a look Our guide for the day was Asmir.

  Gorgeous forest, and the team took such good care of me and were very welcoming and informative. I also hugely enjoyed seeing a little bit of Ethiopia outside of Addis. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in hiking or nature. We also saw some animals!

  Day tours to Tiya stele stone and cave church of Adadi Mariam , If you don’t Have a lot of time in Ethiopia at least try to visit Both sites in one place , Our tour was very well organized we was very lucky when we arrived in the monastery it was mass praying ceremony in the monastery because of fasting time for orthodox religion we attended with all prayers and programs and visit inside of the monastery cave so impressive, the guide Mulat is very helpful kindly and knowledgeable Explaining Every detail Really appreciate and Highly recommend .   I contacted Mulat from the info contact found here and he organized a personalized experience for me. Since epiphany was happening he told me that a trip to Menagesha was not possible due to road closure, but he offer to take me to a short city tour and Entoto mountain. We managed as locals to arrive there and visit the museum and taste local beer from people living around. Because the roads were closed and everyone was in the celebration we had to walk down the road to the city, but it was interesting due to all the people on the streets!   Amazing tour , We were In Ethiopia Addis Abeba to Visiting family & Having A day tour around cty and the Biggest Market Merkato next Day we was Hiking Mount Menagesha suba forest for A Day tour , It was Great fresh Air some Birds monkeys and Baboons so lovely, taking with mulat Tour to Omo Valley Absolutely He Organized it ! Omo Valley with mulat this was one of the most interesting & Rewarding trip we Have Been on .   Mulattafete was a very knowledgeable guide and made the trip great for me. He explained the history of the forest, the plants and animals in great detail. A personal highlight was being able to see the monkeys gliding through the trees as we hiked!
