The introduction session will take approximately 4 hours. This is partly theory about diving, the dangers and how to dive safely. After this theory session you'll go to the tugboat dive spot or dive at Caracasbaai with the possibility of Turtles. This is open water, but the first part is defined as confined water. When everybody is comfortable, you'll descend one by one to work on equalization and to perform the exercises. After this is all done there is a dive tour to a maximum depth of 12 meters.

Introduction in diving and participating in a real dive after the theory. Therefore the theory and some exercises will be explained. After this session we go to the water and get comfortable and perform the exercises. This will be followed with a real dive to a max depth of 12m/40ft.

This was a great dive! We saw a few turtles, a lion fish and an eel! The water was crystal clear and you could immediately see beautiful fish!

We had an amazing experience earning our Open Water certification with Curious to Dive in Curaçao. Two members of our family completed the full course, and the team made the entire process smooth, safe, and truly enjoyable. What made it even more special was that we were staying on our sailboat in the Spanish Water, just a short distance from their dive shop — incredibly convenient! The instructors were patient, knowledgeable, and very professional. They took the time to explain everything clearly and helped build confidence step by step. The training dives were well-organized, and the underwater world around Curaçao is absolutely stunning — the perfect place to learn. We highly recommend Curious to Dive to anyone looking to get certified or simply explore diving in Curaçao. A fantastic team and an unforgettable experience!

We arrived on a cruise ship and had arranged via email with Hans to be picked up. Their new dive shop is across from the water which was great. Our party split, 2 did intro to dive and 2 did snorkel. We chose to snorkel on our own but were given directions to locate the most fish. The scuba lesson was thorough, practice in shallow water then off to deeper. It was a 45 minute dive with depths of almost 35 feet. The guide was awesome. He also took many pictures they give you for free. We also got a ride back to the ship port. Wonderful experience would love to go again.

Diving together with 2 friends who are wheelchair dependent and really super well received and guided, the instructors waten very friendly and experienced and helped us super well!

Fantastic experience with a fantastic dive master. Peter guided us expertly through the reefs and pointed out things we would have missed on our own. The staff at the shop were fun and professional. They went above and beyond to accommodate my disability and I couldn’t be happier.

We took a diving course in Curaçao with Curious 2 Dive and it was an unforgettable experience! 🐠 The team of instructors is incredibly professional, patient, and full of heart. Their passion for diving is contagious – you can feel that they truly love what they do and genuinely care about sharing their knowledge. We did a deep dive specialty, among other things. Diving on the superior (recommended). Hans was our instructor, could transfer his knowledge with a lot of passion, very well and clearly and with a dose of healthy humor. Further done a number of shore dives, got tips from the dive centre where we could best go diving. A very pleasant experience!

We had 2 beautiful mornings both under and above water, 4 different dive sites seen, with good explanation, no extensive long-winded preparation but especially quickly into the water. Also good aftercare after I started experiencing mild decompression symptoms. Overall recommended!

We had an absolutely fantastic time diving with Hans, the owner and instructor at Curious2Dive. Over several dives, Hans provided us with incredible experiences that went far beyond typical diving. One of the highlights was our lionfish hunting dive, where Hans taught us everything about these voracious invasive species. Not only did we learn about their behavior and impact on the reef, but Hans also showed us how to properly clean the fish we caught. We even took some home and made delicious lionfish tacos - what a unique way to end a dive day! We also explored the Superior, a shipwreck just outside Willemstad harbor. Hans shared fascinating personal stories about this vessel that really brought the dive to life. His knowledge and passion for local diving history made this dive truly memorable. Another standout was our dive near East Point. Despite some challenging surface conditions with waves, Hans expertly guided us to discover the magnificent underwater world below. His experience and safety-first approach made us feel completely secure throughout every dive. Hans is an extremely experienced diver who prioritizes safety while ensuring every dive is educational and exciting. His expertise and storytelling ability make Curious2Dive a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic, personalized diving experiences in Curaçao. Highly recommended!
